I'm very happy with mine. I'm also sure the gain adjustment will fix 4s issues , that's what it's for.

Why would I be lucky if I got free parts in exchange for failed parts on something I used seven times?!?! I would not consider that lucky, I'd consider that proper business practice.

If The electronics are failing with 4s, they need to fix it. It is advertised as a 4S quad.

CousinLarry

Update your firmware and try 70% across the board. It will greatly reduce chatter on 4s. I sent you a PM regarding your replacement ESC's.

The sudden impact on the esc(s) could of caused the esc's to fail. I like your idea about the gel tape under esc's. I have been running 4s along with some local pilots with no issues on new firmware.

Waiting on weather to improve so I can get a few more flights on my Leap. I really like the S.bus support, simple wiring and floaty feeling in flight, even on 3S.

tested yesterday at 4s with gains at 72 ... flying very good
until I overestimate my piloting skills and hit a tree ... damn

now I have to wait for fast-lad to have spares back on stock as seem that there are no other EU resellers of Leap 3D

regarding the ESC,
im concerned that the two lateral sides of the esc are so near to the alluminum post that in case of crash, a short circuit can happen if the esc sides have conductive parts near the posts

will try to add some shrink tubin around the posts

Try putting some double sided tape with the peel off still on it between the ESC and the post. Something is better than nothing.

Awesome video! I was able to squeeze in a couple of flights

Updated firmware last night and reduced gains for 4S. Might need to get another one so I have a 3S quad and a 4S quad. Or maybe just a backup 4S. The thing is too much fun. LOL

Alright.. Flashed new firmware and dropped the gains to 70. I was only able to check it out in the dark but seems much better! Didn't hear any chatter.

Tomorrow morning I will wring it out a bit. Thanks again, Tim.

Also - finished my lights! This should help with orientation and night flying

Just flew it with the gains dropped to 70. 4S chatter eliminated and the thing is faster than ever. Very fast. Love it!

Default Lipos

What are the Lipo sizes (mah) for this quad?
I know it flies on 3S and 4S.

Great I have 4 of those.
Does the quad comes with deans installed or without plug?

Pretty sure it came with a generic deans. I use APP so I just cut em off and move on.

Default Fatshark

Lets say I want to use Fatshark V2 or HD goggles for FPV flying.
What do I have to buy to have a complete system and install it on the Leap?
Not interested in filming, just to see where I am going. With good quality.
I am new to all this.......
