Default Decision on different motors

I have a HJ MWC X-Mode Alien Multicopter running Naza-M. This thing is 1800+ grams loaded with battery. I'm running Ipower 2217-950kv motors with 1038 props. I get about 8+ minutes of flight using 3s 5300 batteries. After flight, battery and motors are just warm to the touch. I have the tarot gimbal/gopro, fpv setup all using the same battery. I want to get different motors but I'm not sure if getting a motor with a higher kv would be better than lower kv. I'm looking to get more runtime with current setup and don't plan on moving to 3s batteries at this time. I'm hoping to get some recommendations on motor/prop combo.

Thanks in advance.

I went ahead and purchased a 4s lipo (Zippy 4s 5000mah @ 25c). Since I have 950kv motors that can take 3s or 4s, what is the ideal recommended prop size with a quad about 1800+ grams? I want to give these motors a try before I make the jump to new motors.
