If you do as you suggest you can only get a level swash at mid stick and your swash will then progressively get further out of level as you go toward max and min pitch and becomes the furthest out of level at these two points. This is because the servo arms work in an arc but drive your swash in a linear movement and the further around its center point the servo arm rotates the less linear travel it imparts to the swash for any given arc of movement.

This diagram shows the difference in linear output for two equivalent 15 degree rotations

What you are saying is mostly true however the 180 will still fly perfectly if you adjust mechanically as long as your servos continue to have full throw.

Well I'm going to have to disagree with you here as your definition of "perfect" is a little different to mine

HH has the best customer support of any company I have done business with. They give us a quality product at a reasonable cost - yes many of us upgrade various parts some we feel out of necessity and others for bling. My flying partner has beem flying his 130 since day one with all stock parts, I upgraded various parts but saw no real differance in how each flew. Keeping prices low requires them to use less than top shelf items How many of us get everything perfect on the first round. Not me.

I, for one, would like to thank them for a job well done.

+1 Popa Tom. But I don't have mine in hand yet. Even still reading al the posts, I can't wait to tinker with it. That just as much fun as flying IMO.

I understand, to be technically perfect the servos should be digitally centered but it can still lay a smack down if mechanically centered That's my only point, i do agree with you though.

I'm not 100% certain but, I'm pretty sure I remember the fact that it takes a 7+ channel radio to do servo centring etc being mentioned in the tech vid?

To be honest I've always gone the extra mile to ensure that all my models are physically, mechanically and electronically setup to as near perfect as I can manage, that way I know that if they don't fly right the problem is the pilot.

This.......a little respect goes a long way.

as for the bird, except for the fragile servo gears, I've been happy with mine. Ain't letting go of my 130x flock by a long shot though. . if anything, I'm stocking up on parts since it appears that rakon and micro heli are stepping g down their 130x offerings.

And yea, I just ordered the cable

I understand it's frustrating. If you can talk your local dealer into doing the update for you, it won't cost you a thing.
Brian,my hobby store is about 80miles away! Maybe the Mrs will drive me there.......
