Slightly off topic: I dig this whole 'mate' thing its way better than this 'dude' crap we do in the States. Always hated 'dude', it makes people sound slightly retarded. Lets all start saying mate now on HF. Thanks

+1
it would of been nice if HH had said "sorry people".and now we have to buy a data cable to fix an issue that could of been done in the factory!

I HATE being called "mate"; SHE is the one I mate with, not some guy I hardly know. Let's NOT start calling each other "mate" thank you very much.

Dude on the other hand is very cool, and not retarded at all.

My LHS just got these Helis yesterday. Already you all are talking about KDE and firmware upgrades. The whole process is a little disheartening. I saw the 180 and it looks good but I am just going to wait and see how this all shakes out. I keep my Helis bone stock and if it won't fly that way I don't want it.

Blade seem to have a habit of releasing helies that are not ready, and the first adopter pay the price.

I rember the mCPXs initially having a problem with the heads disintegrating in flight and needing tying together with dental floss! And they dont really have the oomph, look how many threads deal with brushless upgrades as a result. Then there is the 130x tail problem - need I say more? We are already having reports of similar tail problems with this new model.

How much money is spent on aftermarket upgrades to resolve inherent problems with Blade stuff? My whole fleet is Blade (I have way too many), and every heli has problems of one sort or another. One exception is my "130x" which is actually a Lynx 150! Pure Lynx aftermarket except the board, it oozes quality and flies totally different to my stock 130x.

So now comes the 180 and we are off again. I too am going to wait, "shakes out" may well be the operative word, literally.

Then there is the OXY3 on the "Horizon" lol.

I don't know. Sure the 180CFX has some issues but this is nothing like previous troubled releases. The board appears it might have some issue saving parameters, but you can still do a mechanical setup. It will get flashed soon. Tail twitching while hovering in spot is hardly catastrophic. Overall the 180 appears to be a success

Absolutely. I've actually talked to these guys on the phone very recently. They genuinely do care and are very interested in getting things working for everyone. Believe me, I've been HARD on Blade before and, after talking to Brian James in particular, I honestly feel bad about unfairly slamming them in the past. Yes, they need to fix things, but please be aware that these fixes take time and simply can't happen over night. They're working on it this very moment with my specific 180CFX because it's back at the mothership right now.

I don't think that's the right cable. James Haley specifically said "SPMA3065" in his last programming video. I wrote it down to make sure I ordered the right thing.

Straight from Brian James:

https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=46

Also, before anyone gets too worried that they got the wrong one, the one from the Wheelspin link is indeed the SPMA3065. That is the correct one.

James Haley specifically said SPMA3065 in his full programming video. I wrote it down and that's the one I ordered.

Um, how about no... Calling a fellow HF member a "mate" on our side of the pond is slightly retarded, as well. My wife is my one and only MATE. Anyone on here is NOT.

Jade, I guess you were too busy making 4 posts in the same thread, back to back, that you missed mine confirming the SPMA3065. The link from Brian James says it all.
