JT, I don't think they all need to be updated. I picked up my 180 CFX the day after Christmas at my LHS, and mail ordered the cable the other day. I checked the firmware on the AR6335, and it was already at version 1.53.

That is correct. No way to know which one you have though without the cable.

Wow! I can't believe that nobody has grabbed this yet. Everyone must be out flying.

Yes. Shipped Friday and is scheduled to arrive Monday. (He has the tracking #)

And Black Kat may keep it as long as he wants!

(That said, passing it along would please KX! )

Sounds like a great idea, thank you for putting this together.

I'd like to get in line for one of the cables. Thanks in advance!

You are welcome! There is no line (see the OP). Just try to be first when someone posts that there is one available. Good luck!

Speaking of that, did the one have ever get sent out DavisBladeWorks?

I would suggest that those of you that would like to see this continued go ahead and hound the guys, via PM or any other means, that are holding up progress.

Obviously this isn't working the way it was planned or spelled out very explicitly. Seems both of the cables that were put into play only made to one person and then just stopped.

Human nature. I figured it was doomed when a guy said he didn't have time to do the update right away. I guess it's hard to find ten free minutes for some people.

Well, between a very sick newborn and then a very sick me, you are correct, I haven't found ten minutes of free time. I'll do the update when I'm able and then I'll post it as available when I am done.

Maybe those who don't have time when they receive the cable can maybe forward it on and then acquire another once they have the time? Almost 2 weeks it seems maybe time to get them on the road again for folks wanting/needing it. Firmware update is a 5-10 minute max task. Setup and servo centering etc can be done at a later date. For KiloXray's kind offer/plan to work there shouldn't be more than a 1-2 day turnaround.

If a guy doesn't have the time for a ten minute update how in the hell will he have the time to go to the post office?
