Great job!

You know how some people are never satisfied? Well, I would really like an X4II. The smoke from the nitro gives me asthma.

Default thanks!

jaja .
Had to limit the effort to x-mas holidays plus a bit (still 50h+ for the 3 models I guess). So I had to decide NX4 or X4II and went for the NX4 because a) I had perfect hi-res box shots of it, b) between X5 and X3 I wanted something different.

Anyway somebody always wants another heli. Just wait and somebody will call for an X2, NX7 or something totally different.

...hmmm, maybe I should have posted this in the X5, NX4, X3 forum sections .

Default X3, NX4, X5 now available online!!

X3, NX4 and X5 are now available online!!

Just look for new helicopters in the Options menu in HELI-X.
Feel free to comment. Flight parameters may not be set perfectly yet - your inputs will help improve.

Have fun!

Thanks for this. Going to download and try them out now. I think you should let people know in the Gaui forums.

Cool ...and some render images of the models...

Rendered the models ...just for fun because I love the clean design of their frames and canopies.

Would love to but think double posting is not allowed. If you like to post a note there I think that should be ok though .

They look fantastic.

No issues about a double post for this type of content.

Made me wonder, do I have the skids on my X5 backwards? I have mine swept forwards, not backwards. X5 build manuals all show swept forwards. Pics on the net seem to show about a 50/50 split for the X5.

X7 build manual definitely shows swept backwards though.

Hey ArchmageAU! Finally got to build the X5 :-). Hope you like it! Feedback welcome.

Skids I think originally were designed forward when it was the softer brace of the old Lite and FES kits. With the newer high rigidity brace then people seem to have started pointing it forward too, later found that mounting backwards provided better stand when battery in front is not attached.

True. Without battery, my X5 tail fin does touch the ground.

When recently repairing the X5, I put the skids on swept back while working on it so it would stand without battery or tail. Switched them back to forward during final fitting.

The X5 in Heli-X flies fairly true to form. I use a BD3SX instead of a vBar, but it's in-air behaviors are very close. I usually fly round 2400 RMP (so round 80% throttle in Heli-X).

Should get another X5 flyer here in Aus to also review your Heli-X X5.

(Much closer to the form than the Heli-X TRex 700 DFC is to the real 700E DFC).

Posted into the X5 forum: X5 now in Heli-X sim
