Default 715s, when and where?

Just wondering when and where I can pick up some 715s to try... some posts in December indicated early/mid January availability but I've yet to see the 715s pop up on either the J1S homepage or any of the dealers. I was expecting to at least see a product listing by now with "arriving soon" but I can't even find them listed anywhere.

Looking forward to trying a set!

The 715s are in production right now and are less than 2 months away from being released.

OK, so the early to mid January availability estimates in the other threads was just a bit optimistic. Looks like I'll wait a little while longer.

Does anyone know the top head speed they will be rated for ?

Will they have 5mm bolt holes with 4mm spacers ?

Yes 5mm bolt holes and the same fittment as the 695s. I don't think there is an "official headspeed rating" but I can say that they have been tested much higher than most will ever spin them.

I'm planning on running them at 2250-2300.

I think the 715's are going to be a big hit on the heavier 700's.

i've got about 30 flights on my 715's on both my X7 and NX7. they have been perfect at 2250. Also, there is a noticeable BITE compared to the 695's. one other thing is, at the end of the flight i didn't notice much of a difference in my battery voltage. so my flight time didn't change from the 695's. I know that anyone who gets a set will be happy for sure.

You will enjoy these blades on your Diabolo, and you would have loved them on your Mostro. What I must say is that the 715's are not just bigger 695's. The 715's truly have their own characteristics.

A little update on the 715s. The first batch is sitting in customs right now. As soon as they are released there will be some available. Chinese new year slowed down the production of batch number two which should arrive late March (fingers crossed). Hopefully there will be better luck this year with customs. Last year Murphy's law reigned supreme it seemed!

Here's the Cyclone page that will be updated when they're available, also on Facebook.

I've flown the previous 695s on my Diabolo all the way down to 1350... they flew and autoed well but for the lower headspeed stuff I preferred Rail 716s.

I'd imagine the longer & slightly heavier Cyclone 715s should be better at lower headspeeds compared to the 695s-- that's why I want to try a set!

Hopefully some of the test pilots will report back with their experiences flying the preproduction 715s...

Here and now!!!

http://imgur.com/a/iXrmA

Got a set of 715s on my logo w/ 105mm tails and they are exactly what you would expect, everything we love on the 695 just bigger!!! Run em down to 1750 and they do great, comparing directly to the edge blades off center on the collective is more responsive as expected and overall pitch can come down a bit. Some very minor FBL tweaks to get the feel exactly where you like it (For me just lower H&T gain/precomp a touch). Overspeeds & autos are just silly fun. Crank it up to high head speed and prepare to haul ass!!!
