Sorry to revive such an old thread, but it looks like you've got this thing pretty well sorted out. I've followed these instructions, and I've got it more or less behaving. But I can't figure out how to get it in 3D mode.

Dumb question... is "Evo mode" the same as 3D mode (i.e. negative throttle stick = downward thrust)?

I noticed in the manual that comes with it, it says that you must put it in Evo mode before flight, and that if you try to put it in Evo mode during flight it will behave as it it's in beginner mode. I sort of think that's what I'm experiencing.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Turns out I made one very significant mistake in the setup. It's all working now. Thanks for posting the reference that got me going in the right direction.

So this is kind of curious... in this video he refers to Evo mode as the mode in which it can fly upright or inverted, by doing half flips.

I thought the modes were like this:

1) Beginner (can do full flips, can't fly inverted, has self leveling and pitch & roll limitations).
2) Intermediate (can do half flips, CAN fly inverted, still uses self leveling and pitch & roll limitations).
3) Advanced/3D/Evo (no self leveling or pitch/roll limitations, lower half of stick gives negative thrust).

This appears to describe the behavior when I set mine up as described in this thread. Do I have the terminology wrong? What does "Evo" mean?

Thanks.
