Default Model disconnects right after initialization on its own.

I have run into this weird issue recently. This is VBC with neo vlink on my oxy 5 with tribunis 120. I plug in the heli and it goes through the initialization process but as soon as I choose the battery pack being used the model disconnects and shows end of flight log on the transmitter. The heli is still powered up but has no connection to the radio. I unplug the helicopter and go through the process again and everything is fine. One thing I am considering is that each time the radio is relatively close to the heli so if this happens I usually do it over with the radio further away. Has anyone heard of this?

TX too close to Neo and the telemetry signal swamps the TX, just move TX a small distance away from the Neo. Also answered you on FaceBook.

Has it really disconnected or is it just showing you the telemetry screen?

When telemetry stops you get the screen. I had the same thing but the model would still respond if I moved the sticks.

Not at all, it is normal behaviour.

How is a neo disconnecting right before flight normal behavior?
I've been using the Neo and vcontrol since they came out.. The only time I had one disconnect was when it was failing. Why risk a heli or injury or death? Get it checked out.

It is only the telemetry transmission from the Neo that swamps the VBC/t, normal flight connection is still connected and working. It all depends on antennae placement and orientation on model. Mikado has implemented the NEAR feature for the main connection to prevent it from disconnecting.

So yes normal behaviour if TX is too close to model during boot.

The OP clearly states that "the model disconnects". So if that is the case, I personally would not chance a crash or injury without confirming the fact that the NEO is operating correctly.

Mine has done this since new, with all three of my Neo's. It only does it when I have the transmitter antenna pointed at the model up close. Turn the transmitter antenna away from the model and it won't do it.

just to clarify YES the model Disconnects, I get the end of flight screen and the model does not respond to the sticks. However I usually do as vinger says and move my radio further away and rebind and all seams fine. It flies fine. However the strange thing is this is the only NEO that it happens with. Non of my other 5 models have this happen.

Check antenna status on VBC and also the health of the antennae wires physically.
