Nice Sutty. I'v been having a blast with mine since my birthday and then today I took it to my brothers and we ended up calling the LSH to see if they had one. Last one was the RTF so we put it on hold and ran down to get it. Brother flew it twice and started really getting into it..lol
The MCX is alot of fun and it helps with taking my mind off the belt. Think everyone needs one.

Yep Sutty the mCX is the best "teaching heli" I've found. A complete noob can take the Tx and I can talk him thru a successful hover and flight.

And, more importantly, I can hover it with my left hand and hold a beer in my right.

Well i say sutty hosts a helifreak fun-fly at his place when the weather gets better

Gerd, that 7100R has tempted me sooooooo many times lol. I just cant afford it at the moment lol.The switch glo is a nice feature, but if you have the align 2 in 1 with glow start on i wouldnt worry too much about getting it in soon. It might be worth raising your idle up curve abit, sounds pretty low to me. I think my back up curve is 100, 60, 100 or 100, 70,100.
Yours is fine for general flying around, you dont need much headspeed but if you start with flips etc you will want to raise it abit or add some throttle to cyclic mixing in so that it doesnt bog while using pitch and cyclic.
Do you have a digital tach? Ideally you would want to aim for around 1950/2000 ish rpm. I run 2200, but thats for 3D

Gerd, the needle is probably ok. It's probably just your mixture.

I agree with Grant, up the throttle curves. I know your aim at the moment is to get it in the air and running nicely. But once you are happy with everything increase your idle up

Picked up the 7100R for £90 off ebay It didn't come with the Align 2 in 1 just a straight regulator, hence the reason for thinking of getting the switchglo. Those curves were just for initial flying around and setup, I will start tweaking once I have a couple more test flights under my belt and am going to pick up the tacho I saw in the LHS in kuwait next week

Guy in the LHS advised to take out the screw that holds the flybar in place. Apparently with it in the flybar often breaks when crash but with it out it just pops out instead. Anyone else done this on their Blade MCX?

I havent heard or done that with mine. Really I find if you just shut it down on impack and let it fall it dont break anything. Atleast for 3 weeks I havent broke anything... I do know if you angle the board upfront more you can get better FF.

Ya, me neither, I've crashed it all over the place and never had a problem with the flybar. The thing is so light it just bounces. In fact, I haven't broken anything on it yet.
