Flight modes?

Can someone tell me if the INVERTIX has different flight modes available like other quads? Maybe a stability, normal mode or some other non 3D modes. From looking at the manual it appears there is only one mode 3D. Which is assigned to the flight mode switch and is used to arm the motors.

I would like to put this into a normal mode first and then be able to hit a flight mode switch to switch to 3D mode or idle up when I am ready.

No other flight modes. It is off or 3D. No other modes needed. You arm it and fly. When you land you hit the condition switch (idle up switch) the other way to turn off the motors.

Yeah the invertix is a '3d quadcopter' rather then a 'drone'.

No stability or help functions here=> idle up or bust
Bobby really designed it to be a 3d quad first and foremost.

On a side note:
People who come and see at the field are always surprised when they see what this 'drone' can do if they compare it too the 'drone' someone in their family has.

Calling the invertix a drone is like saying saying a 'rallycar' is just a 'car'. A rallycar is made to ride a rally it's not made to commute to work in comfort

Could it be made an upright only by keeping the throttle above 50% with a curve ?
Not what it was made for but it might work

might work (even if not made for it)
but I would spread the curve over full range of your throttle stick. ( like normal mode ) not like a idle up starting at mid stick. otherwise mid stick could be surprising ))

Also If you would only do upright I would install better props.
Because stock ones are not made for efficiency.

I didn't do much 'slow' flying (some packs in my ways to small garden with the invertix but I didn't get much above 5 to 6 mins out of it.
now even with my basic flying skills they drain in 3:30 min

I have done this when my son wanted to have a go. I set the T/C to 50-50-50-75-100 , Works Fine but the Motors will spin at idle until mid point is reached use the arm / disarm switch to start / stop them

Please dont use a 0-50-50-75-100 the motors wont arm until they see 50% but if you try
land and get near that 0% you will have flat out reverse .

I would even suggest to spread it even more

50 65 75 85 100 to have a more 'normalish ' stick feeling in your example you have nothing under mid stick while a beginner used to normal would be less intimidated.

Important remark:since the esc do a soft start one should not increasing throttle after arming for a few seconds or the invertix will jump up after the softstart

So 50 50 75 85 100 will be more forgiving in that regard but still have throttle around mid stick to mimic normal curve behavior
