KST DS589 or MS589 should be a direct fit for cyclic and X15-755X for tail. Or as an alternative to the 589s, the X15-908 or 1208 would be perfect for cyclic with slightly better specs than the 589s. I have the X15-1208 and X15-755X in my GAUI NX5 and they're awesome servos.

I would do some research on the tail ratio on the 500X.. itís pretty low.

I set up my 500x three different ways:

1) Align servos from the original kit
2) X-pert mini servos
3) Deko servos

The Align servos burned out
The X-pert servos were great but expensive and I put them on my Oxy5
The Deko servos are the best value, I'd use them again on another heli.

In terms of tail, I just put Trex 550 tail blades and extended the tail skid. Tail holds very good now.
Since the Deko servos were inexpensive, I didn't mind stressing them. So, I'm running the tail servo at the maximum voltage, and maximum update rate and very high gain and with pre-comp. The tail servo is pretty warm after a flight. But that combination (with the big Trex 550 blades) holds great!
