Excellent news!

A few questions:
1) how much for the Bluetooth module? Is it proprietary?
2) what will the long term support look like? (What I'm getting at is: are you an owner of this company, or is this a contract job which could lead to a similar situation as with msh?)
3) any flight videos?
4) I assume this won't be possible due to legal issues, but any chance of importing configurations from brain units?

Hello,

1- CRIUS BT units for Android and PC, nothing proprietary, the Low Energy device has to be specific though (there is no serial port profil like in BT) so we'll manufacture them.
2 - I joined the company on April 2015, but this time it is for a loooong time, and yes I'm co-owner of it. I'm officially R&D director.
3 - Yes, I'll post a few in the coming minutes
4 - Nope, both legally, and because this unit has no common DNA at all with the BRAIN/iKon (not a single line of code).

I have been looking for a newer fbl to replace my brains, ordered some Neo's but haven't got them yet. I think I may just cancel my order and wait for EZnov.

Good on you for pursuing the BLE solution on iOS. I wish other companies would do that.

Hello,

I'm working on quadcopter firmware instructions.
The goal is to answer any question a beginner could ask.
That's a lot of text to write and translate !!!!

Good to see you back Thomas. Looks like an exciting product.

How much current can the Neuron bus handle? Enough for fast, strong servos on 360 class helis? 500 class? 700 class?

Hello,

@jangee : heli firmware has rescue mode

@iammenotu : the PCB bus can handle 10A continuous without problem. Servo connectors can handle 3A continuous each (standard for servo connectors). So basically no problem up to a 600 size heli with beefy servos doing hard 3D, then you can use a mini power bus to have 2 power input to the bus and it's ok up to 800 size with any servo, etc.).

@markrj : not yet, but this could be interesting. As you can see on KÚvin's video, Bluetooth is easy to use (auto reconnect, etc.) though.

Is there a web site up yet, Im in the market for a new FBL right now, my only concern it will be the tail holding, I believe that this has the same developer as the MSH brain, which I had 4 of eventually, but the tail was always far to complex compared to the Spartan Vx1e or Bavarian Demon 3sx.

Any sign this will be easier than the Brain / IKON, also do we have some indication or when its available or site to back order please.

Does the rescue function use accelerometers or programming code?

Hello,

@Stevewashere: it's coming, will probably take a few more days before eveything is available.

@Colonny5: well, both ... accelerometers are used in conjunction with gyroscope to get the best "feeling" of where the earth is. We designed our very own sensor fusion algorithm.

I think he means that if you are in FFF and use the rescue function, will the Heli still be in FF or will it break?

I think this would be useful when you're using the rescue funktion while youre flying into your position...

Sorry, I don't know if this can be realized with the actual hardware...

Hello,

Ok. Neuron uses accelerometers for rescue so what it does is to put the heli level (few degrees tolerance) and make it climb to give you enough room.

Stopping the heli requires a GPS, this will be available on the big brother using external GPS.
