Default Another copy but looks much better than the others

Did anyone see this, it is using exactly the same concept as the Stimgray but with totally new parts. It looks to be of a much better quality than the other ones out there.

I wonder why most other copies like running the belt on the inside?? I like being able to see the belt and judge the need for tension during flight.

My guess is they realized that a small diameter boom is extremely prone to slippage, both at central boom and at the rotorhead locations.

I'm about to write a rather long and unpleasant post about Stingray design, will add the link here when I'm done.

Dude what's the point ... The stingray is dead... No point in kicking a dead dog.
The slippage is true but it's never a problem that presents itself in adverse flying characteristics.
I'm actually ok with the overall design... But then again I spend more time flying and less time fiddling.

Yep, you're right. As you may have noticed, I haven't posted anything Doesn't mean I didn't write it, though. Someone wise taught me this "write, don't send" trick a while ago - when you put your thoughts down, things become clear, you know what your problem is, and what to do with it.

I would disagree.

The rotorhead slipping, combined with a slightest rotor asymmetry, will create vibration that would a) keep sawing off the tab till it disintegrates, at which point the rotorhead flies off the boom and b) confuse the flight controller. Both situations were observed.

I'd venture to guess, then, that there were quality control problems lately, for all we were getting here is identical self-destructions one after another. And it's not that my hands are growing out of places other than shoulders - all my other things, flying and otherwise, are just fine.

But yes, enough kicking. Moving on.
