Yeah, that would be cool. Soviet markings! I'm not much of a scalie guy but even I have to admit, I would seriously consider a 5 bladed scalie of this cult heli.

That and the Huey. If the SR huey fuse was on a bigger, better platform for example. Blade must still have the rights to do one, or have means to acquire it.

And airwolves. I would have bought the walkera 450 air wolf as well, except that it was ... Gee. A triblade or 5 blade. Seriously? Blade could do better. I'd totally go for a blade 450 size plug and play.

Those are like the top 3 helis I'd like to see, and since I'm in Victoria, maybe the dauphins too. But a fen tail will be tricky. But at least the main rotor will spin the right way

Thunder Titan are coming out with a 450 size Hughes 500 or 530 btw, not sure if it's the civvy one or a militarised one but I think you can find the link on rcg.

I would like a very good scale Cobra. I know Thunder Tiger had one. Never had the cash to buy one though. Even a version of the AH-1z or UH-1y with the four blade head would be awesome.

It even has nav lights (LEDs)! It would be cool if Blade did a whole scale heli series. I might have to rethink my Blade dislike and order one of these.

Beginning to be listed in EU stores, the BNF version at EUR 219.99

Don't like the issues I'm seeing in the 230S thread, will have to wait and see if they are present on this one too

I think the issues on the 230 are being a bit exaggerated. Mine has a small drift left and forward (though I'm not done tweaking) but if doesn't affect forward flight, self level or bailout in mine in anyway. I think it's a fantastic heli. Lots of fun to fly with plenty of power. I'm on board with the Apache. Pre ordered. I think some think that these SAFE enabled helis will hover absolutely motionless hands off like a tiny quad.

First off, if you just want hands off hover, a 45-degrees flybar would do it. But that's not fun once you have a little experience.

And there are other 6-axis (3 gyro + 3 accelerometer) cp micro helis available for some years, that have auto-leveling mode. They don't have the banking limit and panic features, but the self leveling is nothing new.

Exagerated or not, I can only order the heli from another country, there is no "go to lhs and get another if yours cannot be calibrated". Reading posts of people that had to go to lhs to get another heli, which flew just fine, is not good news for me. Best case I have to ship it back internationally on my expense and wait for a decision from the seller.

Plan is to wait for the ah64 hands on reports to come and see if it suffers from the same issues. Or a firmware update from hh, if this is a software issue.

I looked over the manual for the Micro AH-64. It uses an AR6335 Receiver/FBL unit just like the 180CFX. The Apache, however, has an eighth advanced tuning option called "tail rotor adaptive filtering" and it has SAFE with a stability mode and panic recovery. Unless this version of the AR6335 is unique to the new Apache, this tells me the 6-axis hardware already exists within this receiver and it was just a matter of programming the right algorithms in firmware. Interesting...

If that's true, it's interesting seeing as how the Blade guys said the reason the tail wasn't exactly locked in on the 180CFX was because there wasn't enough memory on the unit. Either we got a locked in and somewhat unresponsive tail or we got a responsive, but looser tail. Not sure why it would take more code to have a more locked in tail and have it responsive. Seems like SAFE and all that goes along with it would be a good amount of extra code.

Maybe the ah64 will not have real p.i.d. loops for gyro processing like the 180cfx

Not sure what you mean by "real" but the manual indicates gyro parameters in the advanced settings menu labelled P, I and D for both cyclic and tail.

Wow, I got one of my wishes from Blade! A scale micro!
Unfortunately, I'm done with scale as it's too complicated for me and I don't want to risk the nice fuselages. I prefer pod+boom as they are more fun to decorate anyway. Plus, they are more comfortable flying.
But still, this is pretty cool and much nicer than their Red Bull helicopter.

That's what SD cards are for.

I never thought of just using the SD card and copying it to a blank spot each time i fly a plane or heli i do not fly that often.

but the space in my house is running out so this and the nano S then im done...

My comment about getting an SD card was for running out of room in the TX, not physically in the house.

I know.

Sarcasm is difficult to convey on a forum.
