Mine seems to arrive today but I am on business travel. So now until the weekend. To avoid any issues, do you recommend doing right off the bat a zero on the servos (90 degrees, can I use a pitch gauge?) and a trim flight? I am tired of crashes by now and want to take it slow and have fun so I will be flying Stability for a while so need SAFE to work right.

Man that sucks to be on the road when a new heli arrives. My swash level and servo arms were very close. In intermediate and agility mode it probably be hard to notice. However in stability mode it would have drifted. I've heard some drift harder and for a beginner could be a issue.
I always check all the screws, make sure servos/swash are moving the right direction and heard the wires are touching the motor for some so check that. And if you want to go inverted check you negative pitch. and yes you can use a pitch gauge in servo adjustment mode. At this time there is no way to turn off the gyro to check pitch so you have to get it close and make adjustments after test flying.
I've read some don't need a trim flight, mine did .
Good luck

Great informative videos. I'm a total noob moving up from a nano cpx. What works for me is getting the Heli light on the skids and then slightly popping it up. I've successfully maidened and subsequently put another for 4 packs using this technique. No trim flight required and its been breezy to boot. Love this heli.

Literally took the words right out of my mouth! Talk about taking it slow...I've had mine about 2 weeks now and have barely touched it.. Nervous about attempting another trim flight, work is Hella busy, wind, just not the right conditions. STILL flying my 200SRX like crazy (intermediate, high rate)

Subscribed. Already watched a lot of your vids. I've been trying to wait on the 270 cfx. Not sure I can hold out. I've got a promo code for 10% off but saw a post that said HH is offering some promo's for basically $199 (230s) shipped. If I could find it, it would be on order now lol...

This!

JJ helped me a ton when I first got into 180's. He even sent me some free MH replacement parts for my 180 once. Just an all around awesome dude!

So the weather has had me grounded until today. Finally got to test the Safe mode. From my experience if you push the bind/panic button and release it too soon the heli does not get completely level. I have to hold it a moment
longer until it is level. Now I'm not talking a long push and wait however I did watch for the helicopter to be level before releasing. The very first attempt I pushed fast and released and the heli went from inverted to a side ways fall.

Also my test have all been from starting inverted. So my throttle is a little below mid stick. When the heli rights its self now the throttle needs to be pushed up above mid stick. You will see the 230 drop in my video. It was easily controllable just thought I would point that out.

Default Re assign bind button

So I moved the Safe mode from the bind button to another switch. For some reason it levels itself faster. And easier to get to the new switch for me.

Thanks,
