Default UH-1 SR Body on 230S

Who will be the first?

I'll pull out my Huey SR tomorrow and see what needs to be done.

YEAH BUDDY! I am not the best educated on older products and didn't know there was a Huey body for the SR. I want an Apache body so that I don't want that damn awesome little new Blade Apache so bad.
Then a 4 blade head

Looks like it will work.

Tail boom diameter seems to be the same, however the SR tailboom is slightly longer.

Needed for conversion:

Huey body (obviously)

Sr tail boom

Huey SR landing gear

230s tail motor mount modified to attach to the SR huey kick up tail motor mount.

lengthen 230s tail motor wires

The challenging part will be the tail motor mount.

Almost done.

Flies great.

Using 1300mah 3s takes care of the tail heavy problem.

CF blades from my 300x.

Do you need the landing skid/battery box adapter as well, or anything to hold the body shell to the heli?

Yes, the landing gear screws straight into the 230s frame and the holes on the Huey fuselage are an exact match.

I also used the carbon fiber rod/ canopy post (which came with the fuse) and epoxied it into place on top of the frame.

Can we have a 'nude' photo of the frame without the canopy please, so I can see these details - ie final fit of tail assembly with motor fitting, and canopy post rod glued in. Only if you have time, thanks

On sale at HH, and may be able to stack on the Black Friday coupon code.

Shipping may be too much to NZ though.

What did you do to modify the tail motor mount?

Just starting this project.
