That looks good. The green was a off shade on the original, but easier to see in the threes.

All done.
I spray painted the stock rotors with black BBQ paint. Super matt finish looks great.
Just can't wait to fly it!

I have found a two blade tail rotor, that does not over heat the motor and is indestructible. As soon as I locate the link I will post it.

So do you think the slight added weight of the paint will cause any grief?

Hi me again. I just stumbled across 2 more of these bodies and a bunch of parts. 3 sets of SR black blades, 1 NIB body, 3 tail motor brackets, 2 blade rotor blades...... hit me up if interested.

Looks like these Huey fuselages are difficult to get. I;ve bought a Revel kit and I am going to use this to get basic measurements then have a go at making one from plasticard or something. It will only be used for straight and level scale flying only, so hopefully no crashes.

Mid February I handed over my dad's birthday present (see few posts above - Huey + parts) and yesterday it was D-day...

We installed the body of the 230S into the Huey Fuselage, made some adjustments on the tail-piece and extended the wires of the tailrotor.

Side notes:
- SR- tailboom is not necessary, we used the stock tailboom from the 230s
- 2.0 mm bullet connectors are used to extend the wiring of the tailrotor
- Black Huey SR main rotors did not work out at all...therefor we used the stock 230S white main blades
- we will make some minor adjustments on the wooden part of the tail rotor in the near future.

It flies great and most of all one happy dad
