Default Dx6 setup for 230 S

Hi all. Anyone that can share a Spektrum setup file for the DX6? I have mine waiting to ship from HH (back ordered after the nice discount window) and went online to find the setup but cannot find it. I got my 360 cfx setup pretty quick after launch so little puzzled HH has not posted one for the 230 S yet. Anyone that has theirs bound to a DX6 willing to share? Or can I clone from the 360 setup? Sounds like two CP's from Blade would work just instead of Normal flight mode I should get the Stability mode in the 230 S yes? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

teepeedoubleyou, Are you using a dx6 or dx6i?

There's programming instruction on page 6 of the manual that says that Elevator/DR switch becomes your panic button if you enter all the mixes the way they have instructed.

It looks like Bill_Van answered you above with the setup file. Good luck.

Eject.Steve, Bill_Van

As per this thread: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=716244, I am using a 2014 DX6. I actually ended up getting everything working by taking the unusual step of actually reading the manual

Thanks for your help and suggestions guys.

I set mine up with the manual but not sure on the Mixing

Where is says rate 0/-125 is that 0% to 125% or 0% to -125% . I set mine to the later but the panic is as slow as a wet week. Some help please. Also in channel input setting do you set 5 Gear to B

Why does anyone need a setup file when the settings are published in the manual and it takes all of 5 minutes to set a TX up with them?

The 200 SRX from where I come from had a very difficult to read table for setting up the TX. I ended up downloading the Spektrum file and making my fine tuning from there. It worked then perfectly. I tried that and the Spektrum page does not have a file for the 230 S. Due to potential issues as I am still a newbie and did not want a dumb crash for not setting up the TX properly and not checking everything I should have I ended up using the manual setup. Yes it was very easy to do it that way.

The DX6 wasn't specified in the 200SRX manual but it is in the 230S manual and it easy to follow.

So how did you set up the mixing 0 to 125 or 0 to - 125??

Look in the 230S manual on pages 7 and it shows the mixing values. I use a DX18 so mixing isn't necessary but on a 6 channel it most likely has to use the mixing value to tell the radio that only a 6 channel encoder deck is being used by the TX. The graphic shows the mix is active on switch I and is ON. Look in the MONITOR page to see the effect of mixing, it should be 0/-125 with an offset of 100.

If y'all ignore the mixing on these 6 channel radios the machines won't be setup correctly.
