Default Diode for custom step down

I am building a Trex 450 flybarless using a Spartan Vortex nano, Align cyclic servos, a CC Talon 35 ESC with 5.5V BEC and a Futaba S9257 servo rated at 4.8V only on the tail.

I want to step down the tail to 5.1V so I need to drop it 0.4V. I am thinking of soldering a Shottky diode into the hot (red) wire for the S9257 to bring the voltage to a safe 5.1V for the servo.

I have never done this before. Any suggestions? Part numbers for diodes? Any need for a resistor?

Thank you.

You may be sweating the details

The servo was designed for a 4 cell NiCad and a 4 cell NiCad fully charged is around 5.1V.

Running it at 5.5v shouldn't be a problem

Better still, the Align servos are rated at 6v.
Set the BEC to 6v and run a standard in-line regulator
