Well, just decided to upload a single SIM flight. Never have, and wanted to show my normal tendencies during SIM flight. I haven't seriously flown in over 2 weeks aside form my recent maiden flights. So i'm not polished and not trying to "impress" during this video. I do more guiding the heli than I do keeping it in one spot. I need to work on that for sure...
I chose the Gaui X5 which I don't SIM with normally and had to get used to the rates and make some adjustments later in the flight.
...looks like I also need to work on my run-on sentences

I'll probably keep using the X5 to help train for the 270CFX

RealFlight with Gaui X5: a bit of messing around (7 min 13 sec)

I'll be adjusting tail gain on the 270 and getting out to fly this afternoon I hope. It's below 30F and everything is officially white now...little cushion for the crashes eh?? haha

haha...
so did you see my post about accidentally having -60/40 in my TX for the Gear channel with normal position being -60 :/
I haven't adjusted it yet cause I'm confused...I was flying fine but I just want one last clarification.
The radio needs to see a normal neg or normal pos on the gear channel?
Also, do each of the numbers adjust some sort of gain?
You mentioned the positive number is the tail gain. Correct?

For some reason it said in manual that 65was high and 28 was low not negative just 28 but this is for spektrum. It also said that the gyro / flap switch would control safe but it said not to alter numbers to much cuz safe would not work right. 65 and gyro to me is tail gain 65 has always been around what i had to program for tail so i figured this has to be it since it also didnt have me set up normally like i see for tail in that very same "gyro" menu i normally would see (just an exampke as if i were setting up lets say my 550 x) "f-mode" "normal"- 68 then below, "stunt -"64 ....for different heli's it would be set up like that. But for 270 cfx it made me change in the "gyro" menu itself f-mode to gyro, which is just different switches. So instead of the tail being controlled by your flight mode switch it is now controlled buy gyro/flap switch. That is why I believe those numbers are tail gain still. What protocol does the Taranis follow? Do u know? I'm telling you call HH have them do a call back it takes two minutes there will call you back and ask them someone there has to know or owns a Taranis or knows what protocol it follows. And you having them numbers like that explains why you were in self level mode too! How did u fly it like that? And what is your numbers now. As long as safe still activates when u flip switch, then it should be good. I would just lower the HIGHER number about 4 points. See how that works if not go down another 2 till tail stops doing that in iu3 .Why don't you PM me your phone number this way we could talk this takes too long I'll try to help you out

I'll toss some links in the description again.
I didn't even go inverted this time for some reason...just didn't like the frozen hands and the odd pitch pump behavior than continues.
Oscillations are gone on the plus side! It is still fun to zip around.
Had tail noise first flight which was cured simply by tightening up the tail blades...very small threshold so it seems...

Well i just watched your video sounds like tail is good now as for the drifting when pitch pumping make sure on bench swash stays level thru the whole range up and down. I think the beast manual said "A" parameter was trim for behavior like that also. We can actually get into that setting also hh was kind enough to let us have that lol. I think im going to buy the firmware anyway in a few days. Just waiting on my beast programmer should be next wens. Looks like you are mostly there tho man good job. Happy Thanksgiving

$5 is affordable....... If price is the issue, then just buy a cheap helicopter with cheaper parts.............. You don't buy a hummer and complain about gas consumption..... Bottom line, you buy what you can afford including maintenance.

I just want to know if I need to worry about that slop. I don't want to continue flying any trying to tune out my tail jerk on hard pitch pumps if head slop is the issue.
It has atleast a full mm that the head could slip up and down under pitch pumps.

The tail pitch slider arm is sloppy enough to worry me. All in all he heli flies good, but still feeling the same lack of confidence I'm feeling with the 230. Just not feeling connected to the heli, which could be rates and expos and stuff needing to be adjusted as well.

Yeah definitely make sure the pitch links are screwed in pretty tight up on the head. there is little bearings in them so don't go to too tight or it will bind.... and if it's really that bad I would just call HH mine seems pretty tight tiny bit of slop but I'm sure when those blades are spinning the force of it keeps everything tight. Seems like your problem is the swash and the bearing in it just call HH man and tell them you don't feel comfortable what's how much slop is in that swash plate I'm sure they'll take care of you

Man The only time I see snow is on TV here in California. Seems to fly pretty good only see tail wondering on Pitch pumps. Good luck Vronny p.s I fly most the time with no canopy also. Even my 360 has a little but flies great.
