Default I got the HH brushless kit working! (soldering requried)

I tapped the signal where Mega showed it in the other thread, soldered on the power leads and bingo! Works!. This is like a 10 to 20 minute job if you can solder, very easy, all you have to remove is the canopy (and motor of course) I'll follow up with pics and a vid, when you hit TH the motor stops abruptly and spins the heli out just like the cpx .

I assume soldering is required since someone tried installing it the plug and play way and it didn't work, I didn't even try it TBH.

*edit*
Here are the pics, it's sloppy and the esc is just floating there but it flies and what a considerable difference in power!

Well..nothing a soldering easy job can't be done!

REAL thanks for postin it!

Selled my nano cpx to Australia months ago. Maybe now with the autoleveling thing and brushless i can buy another in CPS form.

Glad to see a brushless. Shame HH didn't come up with that. That's why i haven't bought one.

A big company selling a BRUSHED system in 2015 is just not right, that way they are sayin customers are moron and stupid, and need to buy "acient" tech for "us" gain profit!

to the brushless autoselfleveling nano! Many thanks for posting pics and video!
Now we have: CPS, 200SRX & 230S with autoselfleveling...

Please make a 400size heli or a 300 helisize with autoselfleveling... normal people that buy your product's don't have the know how to put "ikon's" or "mikados" Flybar units and tune them.....and "Kbar's" are not yet autoselfleveling or 6axis gyros!!

PLEASE:
Can post a p+ic of what the exact 3 wires of the mini board goes into the big board?
That will be awesome, and put an arrow pointing where is that signal...!

Here is the overhead view. Thanks to Megamicros for showing where the signal spot is.
Vibrations will cause more problems with the bl kit, mostly in stability mode so watch that, also the one time I tried soft start the heli spun around on the table.... so I"ve been spooling up in normal then moving to iu2 once spooled. Also if you hit TH the motor just stops and spins you out. Any cpx guys try an xp3a with hh bl kit? Did it do the same with that esc? That was annoying with the cpx, but I just land and spool down in normal, kinda of pia, I usually just get it close to the ground and hit TH to land.

I have to agree with it being completely ridiculous releasing a brushed heli in 2015, especially with how ultra horrible the brushed motor is already known to be.
There is pretty much 0 buzz around this heli on the forums, not surprising no one was excited about it. For me it was either send my 2 boards back to Mega for repair again, or just give this new one a shot.

What batteries are you running? Do I see that you removed the rubber mounts from the board and double taped it down?

stock batteries, 45c 150mah.
I forgot about the tape. I wanted to see if it would fix the twitch, still twitches, though either it's starting to happen less or I'm starting to notice it less. either way the dbl sided tape didn't make any difference in flight in 3d mode, stability mode doesn't like the tape

Good to know, I don't use the stability mode anyway! I like the power it puts out, just might have to go brushless!

Yeah I was surprised by the power, I don't remember the cpx being that peppy with the stretch kit and HH bl kit. And those are the same ones I was running on my cpx, I have probably 150 flights on the motor and esc, batteries are all 4 brand new though so that is probably it.

Yeah, that setup is working nice! It'd be good if you could get rid of that (slight) head wobble.

You definitely must try the MMW mylipo.de 205mah batteries.....

Yeah i'm gonna work on that tonight, it only happens with the stretch kit, hope I can tune it out as I really prefer the stretch blades.

I got the headshaking under control, just blade balance, runs nice and smooth in my hand and isn't shaking in piros anymore. So doesn't look like I'll have to stop using my stretch blades

Did you have to change the throttle curves to get it to work.thanks for the good work

A few things about the throttle.
1. soft start does not work, I have to start in normal to spool up then move to idle up.
2. motor kicks in late, seems low point needs to be adjusted
3. motor seems to be at full power well before 100% so high point needs to be adjusted
4. motor stops abruptly once TH is hit.

I still haven't messed with the low/ high points to test, I've been using the highest speed. I only got in the 2 flights the other night when I wired it up and last night I just spooled it in my hand to balance the blades. Sun is out so I'm going out in the front yard this morning before work for a few flights.

Stock tail motor, lynx tail rotor, I haven't weighed it, I imagine 3 or 4 grams over stock if that. I can weigh it tonight when I get home.

Looks good, have you considered de-soldering the original motor connector to save weight?
