Default Hawk rc aftermarket frames

I had a crash which broke the whole front of the frames off and decided to try the hawk rc frames as the logo 1.5mm were out of stock.

You have to contact via email, then it takes about 3 days for them to make the frames after you pay. Individual parts are available as well. Shipping was quick and they arrived well packaged with plenty of hardware in about a week after I ordered.

The frame support braces have screws to hold them to most of the horizontal carbon plates. I Also choose to use some super thin CA on all the frame tabs. I think this design will hold up better in a crash than the stock frames.

The only fitment issue I noticed is the AR holes on the frame stiffener do not line up. Aside from that everything is good and the price is right, pretty hard to find all the carbon you need in a 700 frame in any model for the money.

To follow up on this review, these hold up in a crash about the same as stock! I was funneling and my tail gears got a little hot. Whoops!

Have you tried some Dry Fluid Extreme Gear Lube on the TT gear? Might help with the melt, maybe.

These Frames look really nice! What i like the most ist the ESC mounting base! It is flush with the side Frames! much better for mounting my Kosmic200 and mor clearance to the canopy! :-) Would be a good alternative after a Crash!!

thank you for this review of that frame from Hawk -Rc-I was writing on another string about the similar issue with that issue of the 1.5 mm being discontinued--are you going to purchase the same frame or go back to Mikado? also Hawk Rc now has the separate parts on there web sight to repair the frame--I don't think you have to replace the whole thing.

thanks again
