Default Blade 600x battery tray

Hi guys!

What's the latest advice regarding battery trays? Should I buy a couple of these (pricy):

http://3dheliupgrades.com/blade600x/...x-battery-tray

Or attempt to build my own? Or are there other pre-made cheaper solutions available?

Thanks!

I just bought my 2nd tray from Rob a few days ago, since I've got another "power cell" I'm putting together (where I heatshrink two batteries together, and velcro them semi-permanently to the tray). The tray arrived today. I've been very happy with the one I already had.

I've got one of those trays and I really like it. I'll be buying another one soon. They really make battery loading a breeze.

Awesome thanks. Is the guy who makes them on helifreak? I wonder if it's possible to order them cheaper directly from him...

It's a one-man business. When you order from 3dheliupgrades.com, you're ordering directly from Rob. Here's his HeliFreak profile if you wish to PM him directly: rob_jones

As a side note, Rob was the 34th person to join HeliFreak.

Thanks! I contacted Rob, and he gave me a 20% discount. The coupon code is "3DHELIUPGRADES" - he said it's OK to share with others. Enjoy till the end of the month!

Hey guys, thought I'd chime in. Thanks for the kind words, Uriah!

If anybody is interested in 2 or more trays, let me know and I'll hook you up with a discount. I've been thinking about offering a group buy as well. If you think there would be enough interest, I'll set it up.

I'm HF member #34? I did join Helifreak a pretty long time ago. But didn't realize I had been around that long. Wow, time flies!

I would like to chime in also...
Rob and I have been friends for several years now. I can promise that you will not find a nicer guy in the heli world...(OK, Matt Botos, included). I can give my word, if you have a problem with anything that Rob sells, he will make it right!!!

Thanks
Bill

Hi guys,

With these battery trays, do I still need to use 2 straps to tie them to the heli? Or would one strap at the rear be sufficient?

The trays make it easier to load and unload the packs, but the straps are still annoying...

Thanks

I use two straps...one on each battery, that is after I slide the battery tray in.

Default 3D Helli Upgrades (Battery Tray)

Bought two of the battery trays and the Castle ESC mount, BEC mount, satellite mount, etc, from 3Dheliupgrades for my 600X. All products were outstanding!!!!! Had one small issue that wasn't Rob's fault, but he made it right immediately with no questions asked. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN THE RC WORLD.....Thanks, Rob!!!!
