![]() Thanks for the update. I've been very slowly working on my Max. Had other heli and fixed wing projects on the bench to get done first. Can't wait for the Evoluzione canopies/booms to hit the market!!

![]() Would there be any clearance issues running Rail 716mm and 116mm together? Or is 696mm and 116mm a better choice?
I mainly fly sport with some aerobatics with rolls, flips, and loops. Thanks

![]() None, max can fit up to 726mm blades with 115mm tail blades. Blade size is very individual. I fly 695, but like more aggressive pop and lock stuff. I think you will really like the 716mm based on your flight description.

![]() Interesting. I might set mine up that way. Currently I have to run a capacitor with mine to prevent brown outs with spektrum sats and r1 servos. A small lipo would probably do just as well, while providing backup in case of a bec failure or main pack failure. What happens when the main power is disconnected and the 2s lipo is feeding power to the bec? It doesn't hurt it?

![]() That's a good point. Ultragaurd feeds power into the bec just like a lipo would. So what about this scenario, let's say your buffer pack somehow gets low, like 7 volts, and you plug it in with the bec powered. The bec will feed in as many amps as needed to instantly get that pack up to 8v. Could it possibly overload the bec, or kill the lipo by trying to charge it too fast? I guess it probably doesn't take many amps to push a 360mah lipo from 7v to 8v . if anything, maybe just hard on the lipo. Really no reason it should get low though. Unless you forget to unhook it after powering down the bec.

![]() Yes, I would imagine that would happen with just a single 2s LiPo.
With a R2 Cap pack or Ultraguard, it would not, since they are current regulated. IIRC the R2 Cap pack takes about 1 minute to fully charge from zero. The Optiguard I imagine would take longer if it's fully discharged, it charges the 430mAh LiPo at 2C according to Optipower. |

![]() Is the reason most are going with a 160A ESC to later build up to an 800 size Protos? I have a Scorpion Commander 130A. Shold be good for a 5000 Watt motor, right?

![]() Can someone please tell me the specs for the MSH 4530-520kV motor MSH71085? Can't find it anywhere. I believe it was built for the Protos V1. I just can't find the shaft length, diameter, or motor power. I think is obsolete, but I am getting a good deal on one.
Thanks

If it's a v1 MSH 4539-500 motor it has the original 10mm shaft. You will need the updated shaft (available on mshusa) that converts it to 8mm.
