Hey Kalps, just a note before you go the direct solder route.

I have the same DM9 module, and had the same problem in my bay.
( I could even rock it back and forth slightly and make the signal cut out)
Seems like some DM9s are maybe molded a tad different, so it is hard to get a good lock on the pins.
After speaking with Raleigh and playing around a bit, I did end up solving it.
I ended up with 2 pieces of velcro inside bay, one at the "top" and one at "bottom" when looking straight into it.
This stopped all movement and made a solid connection, havent had a dropout after that.
Hope that helps

Would you have any pictures? Does the module clip in the bay after the Velcro insertion ?
Thanks

Hei Kalps
I had the same issue.
My solution was to put a bit of thin foam between the module and the module bay.

Yeah, the module still clips in.
The velcro makes it clip in tighter.
( I just put a strip of the fuzzy side, top / bottom inside bay, the module doesn't actually velcro to anything)

Here's a shot of the velcro on one side :

Hi guys.

I had 4 of the very first ones he made and the DM9 fit fine, but the OrangeRX one and virtually all others, took a crowbar to get in there.

I also have a newer one and the OrangeRX and all others fit perfect, but the DM9 is a bit loose. You can fix this with fuzzy Velcro on the sides or the bottom. Both work.

Neither was perfect, but I like my original ones best after slightly filing dog bones in the corners (rounding the corners). Then everything fits.

Newer ones, the Velcro on sides fix is best if you can do it. You just need a compressible layer for grip of that skinny DM9.
