Default Invertix is fun ... when

when I dragged ( stupid gui ) Rate from 1.01 to 1.65 ... now I can flip
and radio endpoints at 150 and expo at 20 ( rudder -30 )

Also added rubber washers below props - just to eliminate prop slipping.

now this thing is FUN !

So I found my problem......the hard way.

Turns out ,my xt60 was intermittent.

Was causing power loss and sudden gain,Imagine losing power and punching the throttle ,no response then suddenly WHAMO ....youve got power and your sideways to boot.

So of course to celebrate I went for a loop a foot off the ground ,and still only lost two props.

Thing is a freaking animal.

Good you got it figured out.

Only two props damage is awesome.

Yea ,had at least half a dozen crashes not knowing why.Really hard to put my finger on it since it all happens so fast. Didnt want to blame the fc or futaba ,it was a bad deans to xt60 adapter.so a bad $5 plug cost me $50 in blades and booms........but now I know.

Im back up to full end points on all channels and throttle.....The thing really screams in figure eights like a pylon racer.

And the 4s 1800 65c nano tehc are getting around six full blast minutes ,coming down slightly warm @ 3.75 give or take ,lva set @ 3.5.

Set up a nice parallel charge rig so I can charge up to twenty (have ten) @ one time.

Now its time to start playing with the fc ,probly throw a sprf3 in one of the kits off fleabay.

I just tried the leap 450 blades on Sunday and they are great.

I have my timer at 4:30. I will have to check my batteries. I am using 4S 2600 mah and 4S 2200 mah batteries.

I set my alarm at 3.00 - running 2200 Nano tech 35c 4S and batts are warm and 18-20% left.

Now that I'm back up to full throttle ,I'll log my batts today.

I have a second build done ,copied the settings on the radio.

Number three is getting the new fc for sure.

The 4s 1800 65c nanos seem like the perfect batt for the invertix...not to mention HK had em on sale half off.

I like to fly till the lva beeps ,got my transmitter set so timer starts @ throttle up ,stops @ extreme throttle.

Well tha tdidnt go well.

Never had a maiden flight without a crash on take off .....never.

Freaken channels mixed or something ,,,,triple checked too.

So I take out ol faithfull ...whamo ....140 endpoints dirt nap.Another set of leaps sacrificed and now ALL my canopies are ragged, and skids broke too.

Gonna have to go old school and start making parts.Been wanting to make an evil ladybug body anyhow.

Theres no way in heli Im gonna be able to fly the stingray stock. Its way too fragil for a hack like me .LOL

And to think yesterday I actually thought I had things figured out.

BTW thing pivots on a dime if you flip @ 130,430,730 or 1030 on the ail, elev stick.

Had the rear motors reversed, both of em.....shoulda started it off with 3s super tamed down, with some 2d props ,woulda saved a few bucks and some hair ,not that I have alot left to pull out.

Dammn theres alotta ways to screw this stuff up.

I'm starting to think my occasional liftoff crashes are because I'm not letting it spool up all the way @ center stick before take off.

Sorry about the crash. They still show red invertix cosmetic flawed canopies at encore RC. The one I bought one time wasn't the greatest looking but better than nothing.

The frustrating part is knowing that most crashes are from assumptions and mistaken beliefs.....preventable.

Theres enough going on with micro Helis and simple quadcopters that its easy to over look the obvious .....like proper motor rotation .

One way to look at it ,if it makes you more aware of the minor details of whatever your working on ,thats good.I handle my Lipos with a healthy amount of paranoia .

Between the sim ,micros ,and quads I gotta be between 500 and a thousand hours .....cant imagine the wreck less abandon of someone picking up a phantom from bestbuy and hitting the local park.BTW I still fly alone far away from anyone.

Actually it's not stupid question - multiwii is stupid !
when You get connection with USB cable and get drivers installed and get MultiWiiConf.exe running .... there is "rate" value witch is 1.01 default.

Yo have to click it with mouse and drag it

Quote: Rate from 1.01 to 1.65

When you changed the rates what does this do ? Make it more stable...make it flip faster...just make it fly better ?

Went outside with camera and invertix ... flew my best 3 minutes ... came back inside ... found out cameras battery is empty

So short answer is ... Yes it flips faster.
