I like that from Rakon because that way you can return each bolt to its place. Sometimes different lengths are required depending where it is mounted.

You don't have to take apart to get everything in it. Bottom panel comes off with two screws I think and lets you get everything in it pretty easily. You do however, have to remove each screw and get the loctitie on. I was surprised that the other frames came assembled. I had just built a MH frame on a 200. Saves a lot of time in looking for pieces and the right screws/washers. When all said and done the end result is a solid frame.

Microheli frames never come assembled but all the screws/washers are always in the parts themselves so it's hard to lose them. I have yet to start the 230 build but I'm sure I will follow what I have always done putting their frame together.

If it stays calm enough I might try to do a trim flight.

The one thing about the MH frame, when I was shopping, is I didn't notice where you can buy spare parts for their frames. Is this available? I could not find anywhere on their site where they were listed. It is the main reason I ended up going with the RKH frame, pieces are available everywhere. I have asked this a couple of times, but no answers that I have seen.

I'll email them and find out why they are not listed on their site.

Looking good
I have this one, I find it superb for orientation. They say that sharp edges with highly contrasting colours can be seen from far away
I've made a matching carbon fin partly covered in yellow reflective tape

That is pretty sharp

do you have any pics of it installed with the fin?

I would love to get a green and black fin for mine

the only reason I got it was I needed to make my order $100 for free shipping and it was on sale. glad I did.

Here you go, I bought my 230 used, the canopy was already on it, the old owner had managed to crack it on both sides across the mounting holes. I actually bandaged it by laminating layers of "post it" notes and CA! - I would do this from new, if I got another

I also found that it rattled. You may just be able to make out a tab of thin plastic, that I fixed to the front that slips between the frame and the skids - does the stock canopy have this? - I think my SR did

The fin was cut from carbon sheet, the "foot" may not look too cool, but it helps to avoid catching on grass
The tape was from ebay - reflective lime green sign making vinyl

That looks pretty sweet.

I need to make a fin now. The boom supports seem to add to the look too

Thanks for posting.

Thanks, no problem

Yes I like the boom supports, I think a heli looks naked without them
It came with Rakon flat carbon skids, I out the originals back on

I guess that I'm old skool!

Thank you. That is one awesome looking canopy. I love black with bright color contrast canopies. When and if I bling mine to Rakon (love Rakon on micros my 200 SRX has one) full makeover I will see how I can find one such canopy. I have heard the shipping is what kills you when buying Fusuno. This canopy would look awesome on the full black Rakon upgrade.

That is just awesome good for you man. I started out too fast so I think I was inefficient. Went for bigger and more expensive (to own and to crash) helis. By now I probably should have been better with two fully blinged micros and probably two beaters.

But good for you. Definitely post lots of pics when you get it done.

That is also one nice canopy

I got mine from rotorquest.com
when Canadian Long weekends come they usually have a sale of 10% off (although I have not gotten an email about this long weekend yet) and if your order is over $100 its free shipping, not sure how it would work for shipping across the border. you can email them they are great guys to deal with
