also don't forget in flight mode 1 (maybe flight mode 2 also?) that the negative pitch is limited if programmed as the manual shows.

Default New Canopy

Seen what BrokeDad did with his, putting on a 450 canopy, I found this one from NexRc, really liked it so thought I would get it. Fits good, I did file the canopy post "bullets" down though it was really hard going through the rubber grommets, the stock canopy was the same. Now they both go on nice and easy but they still hold fine. Goes good with the Zeal 255's and orange tail stabilizer. Canopy is for a Blade 4503D its called Xcanopy. Fiberglass and weighs in at 35.6 grams, 18.4grms heavier than stock.

Well, this is interesting! On my 230S-Oxy2 conversion, went back to scratch on the swash and radio set-up. Reset the servos to stock zero (no applied correction). Made sure the arms were as close to 90 degrees as possible. Made the slight corrections as needed in Servo Centering Mode. Adjusted the links for a level swash and zero pitch at mid stick. I had originally maxed out servo throws at 150/150 on ELE/AIL/PIT. Ended up at 100/100 AIL, 100/100 ELE, and 113/150 PIT. Now my collective gives me 11 degrees positive and 8 degrees negative pitch. AND NOW FOLKS! The KICKER!!!! Checked my stock 230S V1,,,,,,,,,exactly the same pitches. 11 degrees positive and 8 degrees negative. Has anybody noticed this before?

Looked at the manual to find Blade terms, none.F-Mode switch. If 0=Normal mode, 1 =IU1 and 2 = IU2, then I am in IU2 (idle up 2). Or as you are saying, flight mode 3...

yea - i kept saying flight mode 3 as that is what it says on my transmitter (dx8 g2) (flight mode 1 , flight mode 2 , flight mode 3) The voice says normal mode , stunt 1 , stunt 2 to make it extra confusing.

Since it was so hot I replaced the main motor in my 255S (230S V1). That motor had near 1500 flights on it. Essentially there were no bearings left to speak of. Anyone know the size so I can rebuild the old one ?

And just to make it fun, some stand-alone FBLs start counting the banks at 0 (Spirit) while others start at 1 (iKON/Brain). There’s no winning.

Does it fly more smoothly with the Zeal 255 or...? I'm thinking of getting a pair for my 230S V1

I like the way it flies better with the 255's (I don't do 3D so I like the increased float). I've flown with both the Zeal CF ones and the plastic Lynx ones I currently have on it. I'm not sure how the H3050's will do with the bigger blades. I run KST215's on the V1 that I stretched as you can see in my one picture. I've had issues with the H3050's going bad (twitchy, lockups) with even the stock length blades.

can you get the outer race out and measure od and thickness and measure the shaft. If not maybe measure the hole where the race was in the motor and check depth there, if no one has the dimensions.

Noticed last night that i was slightly mistaken ... transmitter says "normal", "Flight Mode 1", "Flight Mode 2" on the screen. Voice does say: "Normal", "stunt 1", "stunt 2".

I crashed it into the woods at position 0 from position 3,757.92 ft ... had to follow that course (partially by car) to go get it as that creek is like 20ft across... (*it did not break *)

I just flew the 255S with the new motor. That thing is super quiet. Even more so than the new 230S V2 that has about a dozen flights on it. I can't hardly hear it until it's within 15 feet now unless the tail motor is screeching. I lubed the new motor myself as there wasn't much if anything inside from Blade.

Glad you found yours undamaged darren

BrokeDad, what exactly do I need to do a 255 ? I'd like to get some more speed maybe into my 230s ? I'm more into fast sport flying than 3D

If you want you can simply add 255mm blades and it will fly fine. You can get them in CF (several brands) or in colored plastic made by Lynx for the Oxy 3. I stretched mine a bit using a longer boom but it's not absolutely necessary especially if you aren't doing hard 3D maneuvers.

Default micro heli sale FYI

I was just on microheli Vietnam site not the U.S. warehouse and starting july1st - 4th they have 30 % off (coupon code mhjuly4) .I put 132 bucks worth of parts in the cart and the sale will bring it down to 93 bucks when it starts monday
That's about 40 dollars in savings if you can wait 5-20 days to get the stuff.
Hopefully it will work tomorrow .

Too bad the scale fuselage they are making for the 230S isn't out yet. But there will be other sales.
