A simple trick is to take one blade off, then turn the feathering shaft screw clockwise with an allen key, check the tip of the remaining blade to see if it moves up and down
Repeat on the other side
Any movement suggests a bent feathering shaft (or possibly worn dampers)

I just went out and ran through a couple of batts on the 230S to get out some frustration over this POS 120S. It's elevator servo went out already with just gently flying and no crashes or hits. I've already got a couple of M80's ready for it. It's either that or try out some of this 7mm Mauser armor piercing tracer ammo I've been wanting to shoot. I'll wait until morning to decide.

Crashed it for the first time during a high speed banked turn. I fly low (6 - 10' off the deck is normal), and lost altitude faster than I could regain it. Hit TH before impacting the grass at the soccer field I fly at. Lost a link (blade grip to swash), tore the flimsy canopy, bent the boom.

Tough heli, damage was minor.

AP tracers seems like a waste of good rounds on a plastic heli

Wink Not my day

Took it for a spin during the day. It was rather windy, but I still okay to fly. After work went for sunset flights.
In total crashed it five times in three flights today Definitely not my day today.

Culmination was the last battery. Lost it coming out of a loop and crashed in knee tall grass. Over estimated the distance and it took 35min to find
Neighbours must have had a laugh looking at a guy running around the field with a step ladder

Nothing. Still waiting on booms. Sucks. Ups said they arrived. I'm gonna see when I get home.

Flew two batteries of inverted circuits. Fun until I dumb thumbed it low near the ground. Got too confident. Broke many pieces of the carbon fiber micro heli frame, a servo link, bent all the front piece of the frame and bent the tail boom. Main gear has damage. Spindle shaft may be bent. I'll know when I take her apart tonight.

Remember, 3 mistakes high when practicing new stuff, kids!

Oh no! Sounds painful, hope you get it back in the air soon. Weather and work have meant no flights for me for a week, tomorrow looks good though!

All together now! Used the plastic frame.

Microheli frame is totaled. Every single part was broken or bent past fatigue point. Only the rear servo block lasted.

Even broke both servo tabs on front servo!
And rear boom was bent too much to bother reusing. Also the black tail motor wire was hanging by a thread or I guess one wire strand!

Amazingly the entire head assembly and main shaft was fine.

Good stuff, the head is quite resilient isn't it, and easy to just swap out and repair later if needs be.

Lovely evening here, just back from the field - cricket pitch was busy so found a corn field, which actually gave a bit more confidence as there's hardly a risk of damage if it came down! Plenty of big air, practising figure 8 loops and inverted travel

Just back from running 8 packs, re-charging and back out again shortly, weather's fab! Trying to develop my bank turns into more of a rounded hurricane....struggling to replicate the SIM lol

Been bogged down with so many things I haven't flown in quite a while. Maybe tomorrow I can find some time to do a bit of yard hovering... if I am so lucky,

Update... luck came today as I got a chance to get the moths out of the 230S and do some flying when I got home. Nothing fancy, just some basic takeoff's, landings, hovers, and some circuits.

Funnels. Really makes the tail squeal, but it hangs in there.

Got this 300x canopy, fits great and gives lots of room for the battery, thats a 1300mah Admiral in the pic. I also have 450 superskids on it and Lynx 240mm blades, rest is stock.

Hey, that looks good. I also like the idea that you changed the type of battery connector.
