thanks so much for clarifying that. it's common, you want the bigger battery for doing 3d stuff right. i'm going to just fly around for some time before i'll be ready for anything like that...orientation, you know learn the stuff like that.

I've been looking at the Graphenes, I can get 2 of those for the price of 1 Align 1450 6S.
Has anyone been running the Graphenes that can comment on them?

I have a set, but it is too early to tell. There are some people _REALLY_ into batteries on RCG and they seem to give them the thumbs up.

I've been using graphenes from China Hobby Line and they have been nothing short of fantastic. Sizes I use are 1300mAh 3S, 2200mAh 3S, and 2200mAh 4S.

I've been also using Dinogy 6S 1000mAh graphenes in my 270 CFX and Oxy 3 and only the Pulse 1050mAh 75C comes close. That particular Pulse may be graphene too. Proves that the E-Flite 910mAh batteries are absolute POS.

They are heavier than non-graphene batteries but more than make up for it in terms of performance, particularly under hard 3D. My Pulses come close.

The thread to look for at RCG is the "Battery Load Comparison" thread. Tons of info about graphenes in that one and two thumbs up.

so if i understood the testing results correctly, the 25c are just as good as the higher c batteries.

need link to these 6s batteries that you get 2 of cheap but good. so far i have seen replys concerning the 2s, 3s and 4s. 470L doesn't use them so not sure why those are being discussed.

Because it was asked above "Has anyone been running the Graphenes that can comment on them?" So I did.

The 1000mAh 6S Dinogy graphenes are too small for the 470L. HobbyKing may have 6S graphenes that are closer to the 1500-1800mAh range.

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/graphene...ah-6s-65c.html

Sorry I made a mistake regarding the price. I can't get 2 for the price of 1 Align, but if I buy 2 I would make a reasonable saving that would make it worth it.
If you live in a country that has a Hobbyking warehouse or another in country supplier, it would certainly make them a very viable option.

I wouldn't buy 20c packs unless they were a crazy good deal. Even then you might regret it.

You'll regret buying batteries any less than 30C if the FBL suffers a brown-out or the motor suddenly loses power. Take it from my experience. The cost of replacement parts will far exceed whatever you saved.

For budget batteries, go with Glacier, Nano-Tech, Admiral, Venom, GForce, or China Hobby Line's non-graphene batteries. All of these I've used and can recommend. Vendors below:

If you aren't flying hard and losing the tail, don't waste your time with it. Save it for when you crash it.

If you don't know than you don't need to worry about it.

....the tail doesn't hold or follow your input under high collective input.
