Thumbs up SUCCESS!!! :)

Haha thanks crimson66
The little project turned out to be100% successful

Did a test fly today at the field, it felt so good to just press the button and watch the 230s flip back upright, without having to worry to flip the switch back. Sometimes I'd be so focused on the bird I'd forget to flip the switch back to return. But that's the past now with the Dx6i.

I experimented with 2 types of push button switches but ended up going for the black one with a bigger knob which gives me a bit of a click when pressed which is nice. Also fits my fingers well.

Ran the wires neatly to make sure they don't touch the back of the gimbals, used some hot glue to glue them in place. Had to extend the wires to the now "Trainer Switch" due to its new position. Used some shrink to the solder and liquid tape to the contacts. Looks neat.

Much more relaxing to fly haha

I've attached some pics here.. Thanks everyone for all the help!

P.S crimson - You can go for it pal

Jake

Nice job. I'm sure others will be doing the same kind of thing. I do have a DX6i but only use it for flying my nitro heli as it came with it all set up.
I actually will have to double check my button works on my DX6 as I've yet to use safe. I think I can check it by just tipping my 230S while holding it and pushing the button.

Thanks man

Going to be flying my 230s a lot more now. Had it on the shelf for a few weeks, been too windy here anyway.

Yes, while on 3d mode in the air cyclic to the right or left gently and the press the bind button for the Dx6. If working properly you'll see her straighten out, then release.

Hi, not been on here before, I had a 230 but soon sold it and did no 3d,I will be receiving a v2 tomorrow, regarding the panic switch (ele dr) am I right in thinking it is flipped on to avert a crash and you then just flip it back when your'e ready to continue out of panic mode?, ie no rush with the switch.thanks Chris.
