Default Dumb question I may have asked already.

I just changed transmitters and my gain is way too high on my tail. Is this the gain that you set to 45% in the initial setup menu for just the tail? And I should lower this? Or does this gain do cyclic as well?

The main tail gain is typically controlled in the transmitter, though you can set it not to be. (Sounds like you probably kept it in the transmitter though.) This gain is separate from any of the cyclic gains which are controlled in the software on a bank by bank basis.

Did you switch from a transmitter that had a range of 0-100 for outputs to a -100-100 range? If so, then 75 on the first one would not equal 75 on the new one.

I don't remember how the original one was set up. But it is 45 in the control panel not the radio I did not pay attention to what the radio tell you was because my understanding is the control panel value is all that matters.

How do I tell if I have the tailgate set up to be controlled by the radio or in the software? I apologize I am still kind of new to flybarless.

I assume you mean "tail gain" and autocorrect got you. Go to the wizard Tail Setup page and you'll see a checkbox at the bottom labeled "Is set in software" inside a frame entitled "Proportional Gain:". If that's checked, then it will enable the slider and numeric field below it to allow you to get the gain.

Also, if it is Spektrum transmitter, you have to enable it in the TX also.
