Nice Jesse,

So in your opinion, does this revised 700 feel like what you were expecting? I'm very happy with mine.

I know several of us have been waiting for this since 2011.

Seems to take it like a champ!

Does the 4535 460 motor fits with the standard gear?

Pics from the Cave including RTF weight, when round up is 5,550 Kilograms.
The blades on the scale were just used to place the heli.

717 VTX and SAB 5250mAh packs 6s x 2.

Hopefully will get a vid soon!

I want one. Honestly though im hearing 12 plus pounds on average build with 4525 motor. I thought it was going to be a little lighter than that.i dont know now. My black thunder is built to the hilt with a 4530 motor and it weighs 11.6 pounds with extreme power and long flights. Maybe i read mikado wrong on this new machine. I was hearing 11 pound 700 but maybe not. Not worth it to me at over 12 pounds.

Then stick with the goblin. If it's pure weight you're going after there are a number of helis out there that are light weight. 690sx is light and so are diablos, TDR's, Banshee,Kasama, TTe700, Synergy e7...just to name a few.

Not picking here but why is the weight an issue? The new 700 just took 1st and 2nd in Asia. The 700 Xxtreme (even heavier) did very, very well at competitions. Clearly both the old and new models are very capable models.

Its all good. Lots of folks r happy with those weights. The deal was i was told was around 11 pounds. For me i like light 700 helis. Its a nice looking heli but no way at 12 plus poundswill it steer me from my present heli. Besides im flying nitro helis more than electric nowadays. In fact ive been flying a older flybar nitro more than my fbl electrics. Super fun

Don't know who "told you" what, but it's on the website:

"With off-the-shelf components and 5,000 mAh batteries, an all-up-weight of 5,300 g / 11.86 lb is possible"

http://shop.mikado-heli.de/LOGO-Heli...&c=8147&p=8147

If you look in the setup thread, people have posted all their components and weights. A lot of them have come in under 12#. Mine is sitting at 11.2, 11.5, 11.8 depending on the packs I decide to throw in.

Thanks to George Brown for the video at Abilene Chopper Maddness! This was before the Helifreak Event that I posted early, and still tweaking the model at this event. Enjoy!
