I attended the September Fun Fly in Red Lake Falls MN...and listened to a story about Buddy Boxing lessons...

Mike Fortin: Ok, I'm coming in...fuel looks pretty low
Bert: Hhhmm...looks like just enough nitro for one more pass...I'm taking over
(Nitro heli goes up...out...over...and back...pfft...pfftt....CRASH)
Bert: (hands radio to Mike) Here...hold this (and walks away)

And the entire flight line and the audience murmurs and rumors...

Mike just wrecked Bert's Goblin! Mike just crashed Berts heli!

It is certainly less than original oxy3 (255 mm)

Much like Trex 250, something like 200/210 mm main blades.

That size, I want one.

I would prefer the current servo layout. Its what makes the 380 a great Heli.

The current servo layout is a huge part of what makes a goblin a goblin! For one it works great. Two it creates the canopy bulge which is part of the goblin look. Changing these two things seems like a terrible idea. Seems like they will have to get away from the main plate design which is a third thing that is a major goblin trait. Seems like from that picture they have de-goblined it.

However.... I'm anxious to see it!

I find this highly unlikely since Mike Fortin hasn't been in the RC heli circuit for a while and won't be very likely to stand next to Bert, much less flying Bert's helicopter.

If you keep the stock servo layout for the 380 it would be very difficult to shrink the rest of the heli to look reasonable. Unless you can find a way to use even smaller servos.

Something like the 180cfx sized servos would work but I think would still be too big for the upper portion of the mechanics. The top "disc" of the canopy would be huge...

Changing the servo layout is the only way to get a smaller heli done.

If (and that is a big "if") they get it down to 200mm blades that is a crazy game changer in the small heli market!

I think there is just more supporting equipment in the 255-300 mm blade size with esc's, motors, and servos.

i hope it keeps with regular micro servos like the oxy 3. they work really well and are relatively crash resistant to breaking. I'd be totally fine if it's in the 255-300mm blade size. this makes for a great park flier with stability, power, and decent visibility.

Default Micro Goblin

This is going to be awesome.

I noticed my favorite store built a spot for it on their website already...

Is SAB going to call this thing Deep Impact? That's just a dumb name. It's worse than plastering Sport on it.

Still excited to see it but hope the name goes away and they just call it Goblin whatever size.

I hope the movie name is not copyrighted. It's sort of like an asteroid, right?

The 'place holder' link lists it as a micro. Do they know something we don't or are they speculating?

I just bought a belted 180, fully lynx'd from a lynx team member... so I'm hoping for 255-285 size!!

oxy 3 sized with better servo layout, gobby boom and (pray for it) dual stage...shut up and take my money!

Oh boy, told myself awile back I have all the Goblins I need. Four, nicely spaced in size. Then I got a 180 cause Fusuno had Goblin canopy/boom (only reason). Still working on converting it to iKon/Jeti. Started building scale birds ( X3) to do something different.

Thanks SAB for feeding my Goblin addiction. Thank God I'm not married How many helis does one man need?.......1 more.

Please keep it bright in color. Also, a combo kit with carrying case option would be awesome
