Smile What did you do to your 270cfx today

I do have to say the weather is getting close to changing to winter. A couple of nice days left and its over. I got in a couple of flight today during lunch (because it is dark when I get out of work)
I just can't believe how great this bird flies. Love the size, power and control. I honestly think this is Blades best helicopter to date. Have not flown my 230s or 550x in weeks.

I've had a chance to look over My new 270CFX...but not flown it or even had it powered up yet

From everything I've seen so far, it's gonna be fantastic...

And the extra 5 hours of OT I did at work to earn a $300 bonus paid for it all !

They do fly really well with little wind. Mine (if I ever find it again) bucks a little in gusty conditions, so then precision goes out the window and it can be a battle to get it back on the ground in one piece (talking 30-50km winds). But I do concur generally that for it's price and size, this is one of the best.

PS Mine was taken by a big wind a few weeks ago, and may be still up there having a whale of a time. If any one sees one streaking by, it came from NZ.

Did not fly today Yesterday it was 72 degrees and calm. Today it is 26 degrees and 20 mile per hour winds and lake effect snow. I am glad I got some flights in yesterday, it flew flawlessly. I guess winter has arrived.

Got a chance fly today, finally. I was getting withdrawl symptoms. Seemed to be a little tail heavy while inverted, so I checked zero pitch and adjusted in menu G on the Beastx to get the blades more parallel (off just a little). It's weird b/c I had checked zero pitch while leveling swash several days ago. Anyway, she was a beast after that. Did my first hurricane...holy crap, this thing is fast! Almost doesn't look real. Got some funnels and some inverted circles goin' on too.

Gotta confess that the bailout saved my ass on the last flight. There was some haze/smoke in the air here due to the fires, and without much sun, I lost it for a few seconds...that's all it takes if you're trying to wring it out.

Got my fix for now. Although I may have to slip another flight in tomorrow when I go pick up my son for Thanksgiving dinner..."Honey, Walmart was sooo crowded".

Bailout is useful even for experienced flyers. Regarding blade tracking, how do you alter that in menu G,. or does that just adjust the zero postion up or down of both blades?

I'm not sure if this is correct, crsorrell0653, but I use menu G for leveling swash (servo horns at 90) and then I tweak it slightly with the blades in the rabbit ear position to make sure they're level with each other. Risk here is that the swash is not level after tweaking.

You can choose which servo to adjust by tapping the throttle stick to the left and the left servo will dance first, then the right one if you tap it again, then the front one. Different colored lights will be displayed depending upon the servo. Then you use the right stick (cyclic) up or down as needed. I adjusted the front servo yesterday b/c that seemed logical since the heli appeared tail heavy.

Hope this helps man.

I got to maiden mine on last weekend.

All I can say is that this is without doubt the best mini heli I've ever flown. It felt more stable than any 450 I've flown and I flew it in reasonably gusty wind, it was like it was a calm day. Man it was good. I only had 2 flights as that is all the batts I have for it. I've tried buying them everywhere. I then dragged out the 550X and had 3 flights with that and I have to say these two helis is all I'll ever need. One that flies real big and is super powerful that I can fly in a park (270CFX) and the big bad 550X is just perfection

just got mine. realized i had a hole load of gift cards of varying values, so what to do. one new 270 from my local hobby shop. one question though. filled in all the manuals parameters into my dx 18 took it out for a maiden flight. so when ever i get a new pre built heli i will fly it one battery just to make sure everything is tight and working right. everything was was good so i recharged and popped it up for a second flight. hit idle up at near zero stick and it shot straight up. hmm, flipped back to hover brought it back down and tried again just make sure. did same thing. brought collective all the way down and it still climed a little bit. looked at all the setting in my radio and nothing was amiss . any one else have this problem? i havent had time to look into the ar7210 yet, but thought i would ask.

Sounds like the radio settings ? Download the model spm file from Spektrum and see if there is a difference.

If I'm not mistaken it's the WiFi module to configure the Hobbywing ESC.

That is correct. It's the Hobbywing WiFi module, it lets you setup / change settings & view data logs for the ESC on a phone or tablet without connecting a cable.
