Looks good, but I would lose it with all that black.

Hi, I can only say from a sport flying point of view as I'm not into 3D, so far I've not noticed any major change in the way the 270 fly's maybe a bit better at FFF and the added bonus of easier to see, well to me anyway 😁 other than that it's still solid and way to fly.

I just bought a Goblin instead... ( I mean, it is just a Goblin copy at the end of the day, but hey, looks good and very affordable, well done).

I know what you bought. I looked at my 270CFX still sitting in the box. It may be there a while. Maybe I shoulda gone for your deal but I hate building.

That's sweet.
I was looking at doing the same a few months ago, but decided to take the Goblin plunge instead, like Chris.

Got it off the Lynx site. I noticed that the stock plastic gear crossed over to the 270 and went searching. I am much happier with the look, but FYI it is much narrower. Still flew it all day without issues even though it is narrow.

Default idle up issue

thanks nytro97. so when i went looking for the download for the 270 i had the update screen book marked so product down loads after you sign in are different from when you go to the home page and hit the down load button. anyway it fixed the problem.
by the way i decided to get the xtreme taile and one way bearing.
www.xtreme-production.com
i have about 10 flights on them and i am really happy with them. the machining is great, fit up is good.
i like having a one way bearing. i auto when landing when in idle up mode so its nice to be able to do that 3 feet off the ground into a nice landing. it even saved it from more damage after the first two flights. i forgot to locktite the linkage ball on the tail slider after i installed it.
so from 20 feet up after going into an uncontrolled spin i hit th hold and auto-ed her down and didnt break a thing. couldnt have done it without it. check em out cant beat the price.

Today I got to fly the 270CFX outdoors for the first time...attended Barnstormers over Buffalo ND...

Just some simple hovering - piros - pitch pumps...but it's so smooth and solid that it's easily My favorite outdoor heli now that I have it tamed so I can get used to it's power and performance

Saw 6 full-size single and two-seater single-engine aircraft land and take off...formation flying over the city for the annual celebration

@jonjet,
Just curious you mentioned you have tamed it down. What is your settings that you set it at i.e. dual rate, expo, IDU1, IDU2, pitch curves, etc.
Thank you

Thank you
D/R is 75/20 w Rud 60/0
IU1 is 70
IU2 100
Pitch Curve 0-25-50-75-100

The biggest secret is Pitch Servo Travel - 70 pos/neg

Nearly every heli I fly has these settings...with very little difference from one model to the next

Only the pitch servo travel changes...keeping pinion/ESC/TC combinations in the suggested range keeps them all happy and the headspeed keeps them stable
