Default Warp 360 motor coil replacement

Today the motor of my Warp 360 started smoking after landing.
I took apart the motor and dismounted it.
One of the windings has gone (burned out).

I am going to replace the motor coil, but disassembling the motor I was surprised not to find anything that keeps the coil staying in one fixed position, and not rotating, unless the three motor cables that look the only thing that prevent the coil to rotate.

There are set screws for the can and for the pinion, but nothing for the coil.
Is it normal?
Can the coil rotate in the opposite direction of the cage wrapping up and pulling the three motor cables?

By coil you mean the stator right ?

The stator is glued to the bearing housing.

If the bearings run dry for a while they will generate heat
(or if you push the motor very hard )

Enough heat will weaken the glue and the motor will unwind itself...
(it takes some serious heat though)

Is it the standard scorp 2520 ?

Most motors are actually just a tight interference fit (though some do use 'glue').
Normally it requires a lot of force to push the stator off the holder. in fact it's usually quite a difficult /risky job the get the stator off.

If you say so...although I find it hard to believe that Scorpion can make an 'interference fit' with their hardware

On slightly bigger motors where you have the stator pinned, maybe.

I don't have much experience with other brands beyond Scorp and DIY so I stand corrected - sorry for the misinformation.

I think we'll agree that the stator shouldn't move though

I wasnt meaning to argue, some are glued as you say. Agreed, it shouldn't come off without application of a great deal of brute force!

Photos would be good!

Again sorry.
