The feud with RCHN and HF was not only a motivator for Dan, but was a bonus to myself also. I never really paid attention to RCHN mentions before that time. When the whole thing went super crazy here (the removal/rewording of RCHN text in posts), I finally decided to listen to the podcasts. I figured I needed to check out what all the chaos was about.

At the time it was a big deal to us. Looking back, it makes me chuckle. Sure did get us the downloads, lol.

I have not listed to the last podcast yet, my though was RC Nation was coming to an close due to the down side of the passion for the hobby to grow, grow it did thanks to you all. The monster has to be fed though, commitment consuming time and energy followed burnout. Kind of lost the keep it simple stupid. Just a few guys recording while sitting at the workbench talking about heli’s. The sound of stuff being knocked around made it real.

Hopefully you’ll regroup maybe turn the head speed down and version 3.0 will be born.

I cant listen to RC groups (plastic s parts RC,) its like a few people who went to the mall or Hobby King, bought a RC and turned into a talk show for other mall shoppers. Now if it doesn’t have four props its not talked about. Even worse!!!

Enjoyed the show and wish all the best.

About the only positive I see of this is that Justin is a member of the club I am in, so I will still get to pick his brain and watch him fly fast. Other than that, this is a total bummerfest.

I read about the feud because I wasn't around for it and did some research for the history with the weird replacement text, etc. That's what also got me listening to your podcasts and sign up on RCHN. With this new news, I need to go back and start at the first episode because that should still keep me entertained for a long time. But, in the end, you guys "won". That controlling authority back then is no longer a factor.

Wait. Does this mean that Dan has to keep the ball sack trophy forever?

Nah man, we didn't win... the hobby won. Everyone being able to laugh and fly together is the most important thing.

I had a chance to listen to the last episode today..

What really hit me hard was Nick talking about his son. When he had the moment of looking over and realizing he was neglecting his son for the sake of talking points for the show....that's a pretty powerful moment in my eyes. That right there was enough to make me understand the decision.

Another hard hitter for me was them talking about feeling stress and anxiety over "needing" to go fly so they have something to talk about. When you hit that point it's definitely time to let the podcast go. This hobby is supposed to be done for enjoyment. The moment you feel obligated to do it or feel anxiety when you don't, it's time to rethink what you are really doing with the hobby.

Thanks so much for the laughs guys, I hope I have the honor of meeting you all some day.

Does any one know how old nick is? Just curious.
He is the one I can relate to the most.

The whole story about his son Really hit home. I have a 9 year old boy myself, and they grow up so dam fast. don't blink you might miss it

lol I'm kidding he is not close to 48 mid 30's is more accurate

Yeah I have just been laying low letting people get what they need to say out of their system good and not so good

I mean I get it it to some it seems trivial. But to others and I fall into the others category it not as trivial. So much effort has gone into the show and some of our listeners have invested a lot of time and have really gotten to know and accept us for our strengths and our flaws over the years

Really looking forward to getting back to the basics of the hobby and just enjoying it at its fundamental level

Thanks to everyone
