Default eXo Electronics - Completed Builds Library

I know there is a thread for build discussion. Seems like it's worth having a thread that is a simple library of what folks have actually built and flown.

What electronics? What HS are you running? Flying style and flight times? Comments on how the build flies?

And if there is a build thread, or a lengthier discussion thread on the build, link it in your post.

From my first eXo, which flew last week for the first time:
(the second one will be identical).

JR 28X Transmitter
Hobbywing Platinum 100A V3 ESC
Stock Rage Motor
JR QRS ELS01 for the Cyclic Servos
JR QRS ELG01 for the Rudder Servo
WR Hercules Super Mini Battery Eliminator Circuit G2 for power to the on-board electronics
Robird FBL Unit
KBDD 515mm, EE Main Blades
KBDD EE 84.5 mm EE Tail Blades

I am running JR Telemetry for Receiver/Flight Pack Power, Main Battery Power, and RPM on the Main Rotor Head.

I will check the RPM if the rain in Southern California ever stops.

Why not use the hobbywing bec. It really hard to beat. I have a hobbywing 100 amp I can use, but really want a Hobbywing 120amp platinum v4.

Ah Clem loves his WR! The HW BEC would certainly be fine as well.

I like the WR's too and have 3 of them in use but this time I went with the internal bec on the HW 100a v3.

Btw, 11 flights in, mainly sport flying - 5 minute flights.
Red EXO
Rage motor & 20t
Hobbywing 100a v3 (gov store)
Icon 2 BT with JR DSMX sats
MKS 9767/9780
Stock RT mains & Edge 86mm tails
Gens Ace 4000mah 60C 6s
Headspeeds - 2300, 2500, 2600.

Very happy with this heli - she's a keeper! Was worth the wait!

How is that mezon? Also Does the lite have telemetry?I fly with a jeti ds14 and was looking at them to use on this Heli. I will be buying an exo within the next couple months.

I used it because I had it already. The Mezon light has telemetry, but no rpm wire, thus the hobbywing sensor (which I also had laying around). I haven't pushed it hard, but I have the temp telemetry set with an alarm for 85C and current limiting at 90C. This flight only got to 45C. In the summer I've had the alarm go off with my TRex 550 and regular mezon 90. I'll report back if summer gets me to the alarm with this bird.

Amps out from the BEC maxed out at 1.5--again, not pushing anything. On these new builds I like to check and see how everything is working together.

Flew the eXo harder yesterday. Head speed was at 2350. Punch outs produced 122a current spikes, lasting about a second and a half. Air temperature was near 70F (aprx 20C), and the Mezon 90 temperature peaked at 60C. PWM hit 100%. ESC never burped, but in the summer I think I could push it to near 100C. So, I'll use it for now, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone with enough skill to push it real hard. I just bought a used HW 120V4 and it's standing by. Dan

Mine is done - maiden soon (weather pending) --

My build out is:

Rage motor
FBL - Vbar neo/Vontrol
MKS Servos 97xx series and tail
Hobbywing 120 v4 pro/fan on
Stock blades and tail blades

Using pulse 4100 - 45c bats, fit perfect on the tray --

With this build as you can see it weighs in at 6.56 lbs. Not bad and for the extra couple ounces I am guessing great flight and power times

I am going to start at rpms 2100 , 2300, 2500 --
