That sport is a really good deal! I imagine a lot of people will be going that way.

worked the numbers with blades to compare to regular GOBLIN BLACK THUNDER 700 (WITH THUNDERBOLT MAIN AND TAIL BLADES)
and its only $140 cheaper after adding in the blades. not sure if that would drive me or get me excited to get cheaper boom and G10 frame. i like the canopy cost though

It's more like $232 with standard 690 Thunderbolt (not T) blades and SAB 105's.

The killer deal is the cheaper canopy and boom. I think even if you had a T and crashed it and were low on funds the new S would be a good option to get back on the air.

I think it's a real killer deal if you already own a 700 and want to get into a Goblin. You don't have to pay for blades and use your own and of course re-use electronics. At $232 difference it's not the deal of the century if you buy all from scratch I agree. With blades included I think it would be an unbeatable value but that's probably impossible.

Yes your difference on your example is $230 versus a 690 T, right?
Not much more on my previous example. Nearly the same.

I am wondering if the sport boom is a direct fit on the black nitro?

Realistically,

Who is going to drop $700 Usd on a kit with g10 frames. Im all for the idea of making it cheaper, and I love my Goblin but still seems overpriced for what you're getting.

You already do.
Most, including SAB's frames, tail stabs, skids are FG with a Carbon Fiber veneer.
There's pics floating around somewhere showing de-laminated frames if you wanna search.

Default FrSky Horus X10/X10S now shipping

Finally a FrSky Tx that just might prove to be a worthy successor/upgrade to the well proven Taranis X9D/X9DP. (IMO)

I couldn't resist and ordered a new X10S Carbon:

Photo courtesy of Jet_Flyer's initial review post

My only two concerns now... 1.) Funky LiFe external charger wart hangs off the Tx by a micro USB connection and 2.) OpenTX is not yet ready. Both issues should be remedied relatively soon-ly.

I said it before and I'll say it again...
