I watched the video (before scrolling down) and my very first thought was, "what about the tool who hovered a nitro in a living room?"

I see I was not alone remembering that one

Or, maybe he is the guy in your avatar....... but seriously, a bookshelf and a motorcycle helmet would probably bring the risk down to a level that is simalar to a "normal" flight.

Default Safety is a concern..but apparently not a priority.

I'm going to moonwalk under my push mower hanging from a rope in the garage now....

Not any worse than people that check tracking by hovering with the mains spinning right at eye level which I've seen too many times to count.

That's like looking down the barrel to see if your gun is loaded

The tracking or the gun?

The gun, no idea, we don't use guns here (no pun intended, just explaining), the tracking... not needed nowadays. Just setup correctly with a digital pitch gauge and fold blades to double check.

Couldn't the tracking still be off from a bent feathering spindle or grip?

NOw i dont feel so bad hovering my 250 indoors.

Lynx 250 Dampener Wobble (0 min 38 sec)

This is a rarety just like flying in the garden. I prefer big open spaces and prefer not to have sharp spinning CF blades possibly impregnating themselfs in me/nearby objects

How about hovering a large turbine heli indoors in a small room. Not only do you get the danger of being chopped to pieces but you fill the house with the smell of burning kerosene and also risk putting the house on fire. I mean if you're going to go stupid might as well go all the way and do it right.
