I agree with others and much prefer the original style canopy...

Maybe a more angled, compact version of the original would be a good idea.

Keep the heritage but modernise a little so still recognised as a Diabolo, just like Porsche has done...

Well if it's likely to change I will hold off on the pre order, if the final one does not look the same, Iam not sure I want it

I love the new canopy design shown above, and would choose that if there's a choice, but it won't be a deal breaker if it ends up with the traditional looking canopy.

Maybe its an idea to ask Gerd why this kind of canopy and if there is an option for the old style..
I mean...he is reading the forum.

I would go for this new design on the 600 too. But I would keep my 700s and 550 the way the are.

The only thing I want for the canopies is more paint options, airbrushed designs mainly like two tone, fading. A matte black canopy woukd be interesting too.

I wouldnt mind keeping the windscreen a decal, so you can change things down the road. I think a more angular windscreen would be neat, such an angle at the top to match how it meets up at the nose, or where it ends at the side, go with an angle.

Just reread the Diabolo 600 description posted early on in this thread. Guys, the "hoods" are interchangeable, so if you love the original style put on a Diabolo 700 canopy!

The only caveat is the description seems to have been removed from the minicopter website.

would be mi choice of motor as well. Reminds me that I have to start ordering a motor since I only have 780 kV at the moment.

I will run mine as strict 6s setup as light as possible.

Default New Diabolo 600!!

I've got two scorpion motors from my logo 600's. If they don't fit or work well, hopefully I can turn two scorpions into one Pyro or xnova ;-). But I'm going 12s cus thats what I had going with the logos, so I've got a couple new-ish 3300 12s packs.

Lol I saw the first post about the 600 just as I was about to post up all my logo 600 stuff for sale to fund my diabolo 700 build. So at the last minute, my BNF logo 600 and FBL ready logo 600, and pair of packs for sale quickly turned into bare airframes and no packs for sale. Lol. So I've kept back 2 motors, 1 esc, 2 packs and 3 sets of servos waiting for this sucker :-D

I ran a Pyro 700 on 12S on my Logo 600 and was a really great setup. I wouldn't mind going with a Pyro 650 on the Diabolo 600, but the KV offered are a little high, so maybe on 10S. It depends on the gearing Gerd will offer but I suspect he will stick with the 196.3 main gear setup and the same pinions he offers now which do offer quite a wide range.

I would like to run a moderately high head speed. As I like around 1850 on my 700s, and 2200 on my 550, so suspect with the 600 I will start around 2000 and see how I like it there.

It seems a Pyro 650-65 would work with a 16t pinion on 12S for 2050 on the head. Using 3000mAh 30C packs would keep it light

Nothing wrong with 10s on a 600, but I switched to 12s because I couldn't find decent affordable 10s packs anymore

April is over and no announcement of price or release date yet :'(. I know these things take time and it's hard to stick to a time window, but the suspense is killing me! Lol. I sent Chuck a bunch of money towards a kit already :-D.

Maybe some more new photos would help hold me over... Gerd?... ;-)

We are in time. Estimated shipping of first kits was planned from beginning for June. Preorders are in our shop and Chuck is taking preorders as well.
We have removed pics because the optic and some inner details have changed since the first prototype. During the next days the homepage will be updated.
