Default What Head Speed?

So what head speed are you guys running?

I have stock OS37 with stock gearing and Align Blades.

Plan was 2600 and 2800 but that puts 2800 at 20k on the motor.

Running VX1N!

Once I get my Ikon installed I'm going to try a few different headspeeds. Ikon will make it easy as I will no longer need someone to run a tach while I hover. @bgymr, have you tried the 19 or 20t pinions?

I always ran the stock pinion. 2550 is the ideal rpm for it because that is the peak hp output for the 37. But I run a little higher so it bogs into the peak hp.

With what blades/engine/muffler?

I flew about 2650-2700 with 425/435 and 2550-2600 with 450.
OS37 with gaui 37 muffler.

I so want to install my os50 and stretch it. But trying to fly it stock for now. 2500 on 510s should be perfect.

I never flew one with the 37 and this is also my first nitro so I have nothing to compare it to but it has loads of power and autos fairly well.

Default Motor

Motor install completed. Lost one of those red skid standoffs.

But its in just needed a little fitting on motor holes. Wish the skid standoffs were not so angled. But owell. Its works.

Just waiting on parts now. Should be in tomorrow.
