Default DS-16 Screen vs Sun

Finally got two of my models moved over to Jeti, and I gotta say: should've made the switch a long time ago. Great system. Just wanted to check in and see if anyone else has experienced what I noticed last weekend: After a couple of flights, it looked like the screen turned black in the center, making it hard to read. Best way I can describe it is what happens to receipts when left in the sun and they turn black. After putting in the shade for a bit, it went back to normal, but again turned dark during my next flight. Anyone else experienced this?

I haven't seen that. There are adjustments to contrast, maybe you can check that when it's "hot".

Yes, I've seen it when the screen is left in bright sunshine for a while. Doesn't seem to have any lasting effect and takes longer than one of my normal flights for it to happen.

I just keep the screen out of the sun now. If I am waiting at the flight line I rest the Tx screen down against my heli or put it in the shadow of the heli.

I do find my screen protector needs to be replaced more often if I have the TX screen in the sun. It effects the glue and it starts lifting at the edges. I end up replacing it every 18 months to 2 years.

Iíve had the same experience on my DS14 and do the same process... keep it in the shade as much as possible.
