I'm sorry but it just doesn't have the same effect coming from the Taranis.

Why is that? Is it because the jeti is 1200 and the taranis is 200

Pretty much. Or...

Because the Jeti feels like a Bentley in the hands and the Taranis feels like a Toys R Us copy of the 100 year old JR 9303. That's why. The Taranis simply isn't sexy enough for that coolness the op posted!

agree with all of the above.

you can add a lot of coolness to a Taranis, but at the end of the day it's still a Taranis

The learning curve so far isn't as bad as I thought it would be for a basic setup. Learning all the fancy stuff coming from basic spektrum radios will take some effort though. I still love spektrum radios. But the capabilities of other systems are superior if that is your thing.

Awesome man!

Yes Jeti is easy. It's complete, and refined. That's The big difference between say a Taranis or a Horus, vs the rest of the market.

Jeti is complete. Horus is complete or Refined but not both at the same time. Taranis is complete in feature set, missing is the ease of use from a polished and refined UI. Both are equivalent to Jeti in features if using OpenTX, and the Horus can use FrskyOS which is easier, wizard based, and more polished but some features are not available (FBL integration, and LUA)

Spektrum by contrast is fractured... highly finished and refined basic options... with high end options just slapped in separately in things like the DX18.

Probably the best example of refinement is the 3D and Pattern tuning options. All these options over the DX9 allow this from each vendor, but Jeti pre builds these mixes for you in every plane, even when several servos run each aileron or elevator side, and they present all the mixes in one screen, in the form of an editable table!

Jeti is just ahead of everyone on everything... contrary to what they want you to know though, Horus is closer than Jeti likes on feel, and any OpenTX option is dead on in raw features. Horus is the only TX I'm aware of that is not brutally shamed by Jeti. (Jeti would prefer just plain everyone to be shamed so they don't really know how to take Horus.)
