KDS Hughes 500 and Align
Hi All
I recently acquired an unopened KDS Hughes 500 fuse that was designed to fit a Trex 450se. The previous owner bought it and then never used it. I had a brilliant plan to fit it to one of my Blade 450x helis but after a fail bit of mucking around I suspect it will just end up a mess as everything is wrong and does not fit without major changes which defeats the point of buying the fuse. So I will need to buy a Trex but of course the 450SE is long gone and was flybar anyway. As I live in Australia there really is no place I can go to actually look at the current models to make sure that the fuse will fit them and of course buying one that does not fit will not be a fun idea. Does anyone know if the Trex 450 current models are the same size as the old ones or if the belt ones are and torque tube ones are not etc. I am quite happy to buy whatever is needed and the new ones seem to have a lot better electronics. Thanks in advance.

You could get a Tarot clone; they should match the older Trex models.

Question also... I have a KDS Hughes 500 Fuz on my HK450GT's, and the body resonates quite badly at certain points.
Anyone have an idea of the ideal headpseed for it, or is it just trial and error? I think my 450 mechanics are set up stock with a GARTT 3700kv motor on 3s. It's a YEP40A esc with gov. Throttle is about 76% to avoid the vibes so far. Blades are only GF cheapies... but balanced and track well. I haven't checked the head speed with an optical tacho, but I'd like to get some air time this year with it. Ta
