I had the same problem with my canopy. I ended up gradually enlarging the holes in the canopy for the grommets until the canopy slipped on more easily.

Tested out the brain rescue again for the first time in ages. It was definitely not happy, it tried really hard to crash my heli lol. 1st time heart attack, 2nd time what?!, 3rd time ok it's not working lol. Weird since I don't remember changing anything and no crashes since last time I tested and it's always worked flawless in the past. Will have a look into why, might be a nice clue that something is going wrong.
edit: Noticed my DFC arms were bent slightly (both sides equally) so i bent them back very carefully and flew another lipo, rescue worked perfect again, weird... How could I have bent my DFC arms?! Must say it's quite impressive how much wind this little beast can handle! Last edited by 1am7h30n3; 04-21-2018 at 07:05 AM.. |

Yes you have to mindful of vibration with rescue. The gyros can take a lot, but rescue uses the accelerometers as well and those are not that tolerant.

Added some tape to the canopy to stop a split/crack from getting any larger.

Replaced, spindle shaft, both DFC arms, both DFC pin screws, a servo horn, 2 servo links, main and tail blades, tail fin. Man, I got quite trying to recover and learn to hit Throttle Hold.

oxy 2
I got close to 300 flight with out a crash and over the weekend crashed the oxy 2 two times. I have been working on some hard 3D, I have to say that the oxy 2 is one tuff helicopter as both crashes were In to the ground hard. The only damage was the servo arms slipped. I had to reset them and it was back in the air. I do fly over grass so that does help the damage.

With a heli this size, I really do think TH is better than rescue, unless your intent is specifically to practice with rescue. There is so little energy in the disc, as long as you hit TH, you aren't likely to do much damage. Even the Oxy 3 is a step up in disc energy. When I was landing them both in fairly sparse, 12" high grass last year, hitting TH right before entering the grass, the O2 blades would stop immediately on contact while the O3 would spin through the grass for a bit.

Nice. Few years back we took the chance to hop from Macau during a conference and see Hong Kong. We stayed in Hong Kong island but visited lots of places in New Territories. It was very nice.
Keep up posting the videos.

Had been waiting for the my uSpirit FBL and the pinion bonding compound to show and now that they have, I have all the electronics in and the pinion all secured.
Tonight I reamed those tight links out, set up the tail, fired it up with tail blades only. The governor seemed to be working as expected in the uSpirit and she purred like a kitten with a nice responsive tail. Tomorrow night, I set the head geometry up and I'm ready to maiden.

And today I maidened it. 3 tuning flights and its feeling pretty good now.
I have to say that I am more impressed with this heli than I expected to be and having been real happy with my Oxy 4, I was expecting to be happy with this one. It still managed to exceed my expectations. I kinda figured it would feel like a better 180CFX, but these 2 aren’t even in the same league. Granted I bought the 210 FE so it’s not really a fair comparison. It really feels like a smaller big heli and not a bigger small heli. Looking forward to more flights this weekend. Last night I did the finishing build touches on my 210 FE but to my suprise a servo came in damaged. Lynx quickly took care of it so I'll be doing the maiden soon.

I only had to turn 1 swash link a half turn to both level the swash and get it at the right height. The swash to grip links both had a hard turn to get zero pitch and that was that. What tail gain % are you set at? I have 65% with a 1.0x multiplier and it could probably still come down a few ticks I think. Tail is buttery smooth but getting a tail kick on punch outs, as I have with my other Spirits too. Might need some pre-comp.
