Switched over to the HW 120V4 and moved timing to 10 deg, which seemed to be the setting for minimum volume. Running the HW gov as well. I re-soldered all the bullets, motor and both ESCs, and it's not really singing loudly now at speeds I fly. When the smaller pinions come out, I think problem will be completely gone because it's not occurring at the higher motor speeds. 2600 rotor speed sounds fine, just faster than I need. Of note, the scorpion MAH readings are about 35 percent too low, but I've adjusted my alarm to make it work spot on.

Thanks for the update, Dan. I'm glad you have a potential solution. Let us know long term. Thanks!

Mine does the exact same thing. Seems to be about 2250-2350 rpm head speed. Tried every timing/pwm combination on a hobbywing 100a. No difference.

Tired of messing with this heli so I'm just gonna fly it.

Hope I like flying it at a headspeed outside the screaming noise band. Seems to disappear about 2400rpm. I'm setting up 2200/2400/2500 to start.

Like when you tell the doctor "it hurts when I do this" and he says "well then--don't do that."

I noticed it in my motor as well. I run the hw100 v4, I'm not sure about the settings, Probably standard.
I hear the noise mainly at 2350 rpm and a bit at 2150. At 2500rpm it's gone
That is with the smaller 18t pinion. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure if I heard the noise with the stock 20t pinion...
