Default Diabolo 550 motor choices

So I decided I am going to purchase a Diabolo 550 and am wondering about a motor choice. It seems most people go for the xnova 4020, and while I have multiple motors from them and they perform really well, it looks like I might be able to save some weight without sacrificing too much power. So my question is: is a motor with a 5mm shaft a bad idea? I know other models use a bushing to adapt to 6mm pinion/pulleys; is that possible here? Here is the motor I am looking at: http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_BSM475...m4750p1200.htm

The 550 is pretty light already. I would recommend a 4020 or 4025

I realize that, and may just end up going that route. Nevertheless, hoping I can still get an answer/opinion to my original question.

I'm not sure about the shaft adapter deal, but I can vouch for the Savox motors usually being a good choice. I haven't tried one in the Diabolo 550, but I've ran a few of them on Logos and liked them. They ran cooler than the scorpion equivalent, and were lighter.

The Kontronik pyro 600-12 is a great motor for it and it is very light.

I actually have this motor but was concerned that it may not have enough power. I suppose it all depends on flight style. If it does though, then great! It is indeed very light.

I have been thinking of switching my XNova 4020 for a Pyro 600. I fly Pyros exclusively on all my other Helios and love them. Light weight with lots of power.

I got the scorpion 4525-1100 in mine. Have not flown it yet. This Is a great motor setup. I used it in a trex 550 and logo 550. We clocked the logo at 95 mph. Great power on a single 6S 5000. Good 3D setup. Most guys in my club used this setup for 3D or big air flying. Good luck

I'm using the SAVOX 4760 1200KV It has heaps of power, I found no reason to change it either...

Default 4750 works great!

Just wanted to report back that the 4750 motor is installed and working great! Holds 2250 rpm with great power. I of course had to adapt the shaft up to 6mm. To do that, I just used the brass bushing included with goblin 500 pulleys and it fits absolutely perfect. AUW with 6s 4500 pack is at a super light weight of 2820 grams. Flys like a dream
